Does anyone know what the minimum length of service is to be eligible for mat leave benefits in Barclays?

do you only receive smp if you are not eligible, I’m due to join and need to know whether it’s worth it!

Statutory Maternity Pay, regardless of company worked for, is 26 weeks service with the company.

This is usually the same or longer to be eligible for any additional maternity benefits.

My company had no additional benefits at all mind you, it was statutory only after the 26 weeks.

Regardless you should still be entitled to Maternity Allowance.

All explained on Gov. website if you need any more info OP xx

If you are already pregnant and haven't already started with barclays then I don't think you are entitled to smp but you should still be entitled to maternity allowance.
I believe you need to work for the company for at least 26 weeks at 15 weeks before baby is due. I think roughly that means you need to start the job before you get pregnant.

I work for Barclays and I believe you will get smp if you join less than 26 weeks before giving birth. 1st 6 weeks being 90% pay.

After that I believe it's Barclays benefits of 6 months full pay then smp.

I started working for Barclays when about 12 weeks pregnant and got 90% pay for the first 6 week and it might have been maternity allowance there after. That was in 2019.
