Cervical ectropion - heavy bleeding?

Hello,

I wondered if anyone had been diagnosed with a cervical ectropion which caused bleeding between periods (sometimes with clots)? I saw the GP this week who did a pelvic exam and said she thought there was a CE. I've booked to see a gynaecologist next week, any thoughts on whether they would want to explore further? Hoping they can give some insight into whatever is causing the bleeding (from CD 17 - 28 and then a 5 day period!) and if it could be hindering conception. Any thoughts welcome!

Hello!

Sorry you've got this too. Yes I saw a gynaecologist a few weeks ago and had colposcopy and silver nitrate treatment and so far so good! I used my private medical insurance as my GP said it would be a v long wait with the NHS. My bleeding had gone on for 18 months so clearly wasn't going to just settle down on it's own! Hope that helps, any questions just shout 😊
