Help reading opks!

Hi, looking for some help reading opks.

Bit of a back story, I had a MC last month ☹️ and after a bit of research I'm worried I have a short Luteal phase. My cycle is typically around 23-24days and I've never thought anything of it until now. So, I would like to work out when I ovulate in order to see how many days LP is.

I started testing once a day on Friday. All neg until this morning (9.30am second lee of the day!) when I had an almost positive (see pic). So I thought "great, I'll test again this afternoon to confirm" and it's flat neg.  have I missed the surge? Or have I not ovulated yet (or maybe I won't this month??)
CM has been tricky to monitor as usually I have obvious ewcm, but I've not noticed much so far. (Didn't notice much the month I had mc either though and I must have ovulated that month!)

Are you tracking BBT too? It’s hard to know exactly if ov has occurred without temping as far as I understand.

Personally I would take that as a pos OPK and assume I’d ovulate the next day, then start counting the LP from the day after that.
LH surges can come and be finished within a matter of hours so it’s quite possible you’ve just had a short LH surge and you’ve just managed to catch it

I agree with PP that I’d take that as a positive (or nearly positive) as the difference is hours. So DTD ASAP. You have some time post surge.

I have done some OPKs since and they have all been neg, so I'm going to assume the almost positive was perhaps the end of surge the evening before and therefor count ovulation from there.

If there is no bfp this month then I'm going to try bbt charting next month. Need to invest in a decent thermometer - any recommendations @Mannymoomin? Or @PurBal
