Spotting and ovulating

I’m just starting ttc this month, the last few months I’ve been monitoring when apple health tells me I’m fertile and it’s about 5 days after my period starts. But my period typically lasts 7 days and then sometimes some spotting for a day or two after.
so I don’t know what this means for ttc? Can I be fertile and still on my period or Is my Apple health just wrong?

How long are your cycles? Your fertile window sounds a bit early to me. In a 28 day cycle you would usually ovulate around day 14 and would be fertile for the 5 days leading up to that. There is some movement either way though. You could try tracking your BBT to see when you ovulate but as it’s your first month trying just try to have sex every couple of days and see what happens instead of getting to hung up on it.

My cycles are 21-26 days
24 on average.
Apple health says my possible ovulation days are days 7-12

ive spent so many years trying not to get pregnant that I don’t even know how my own body actually works!
