TTC - CD 17 and no Ovulation

Hi Everyone,

I’m new to the TTC world and have just started tracking my LH this cycle because my previous two cycles have been 31 and 34 days long respectively (previously used to be around 29 days). I’m 27 and haven’t had any issues with my periods, I’ve just recently started to TTC.

On average, I thought I’d start ovulating around CD15 so I started tracking with clear blue digital advanced and LH strips.

I’ve had low fertility on the CB tests for about 8 days straight and pretty much no movement on my LH strips( pic attached). My last period was 6th September but I’m holding out hope.

Am I likely to ovulate this month or has my cycles becoming longer somehow changed my ovulation dates?

sorry if this is super obvious, still new to all of this.

Forgot to add - my cervical mucus is a little watery and pretty much clear aside from a little bit of milkiness.

Yes if you’re cycles are longer than usual then your ovulation will be later. If you’re stressing with ttc or opk (or anything else in your life) it can delay ovulation which will in turn delay your period. Your Luteal Phase (days after ovulation until period starts) tends to always be the same so when you ovulate late your period is late. If yours have been 30 and 34 days then you’re likely yet to ovulate

on my first month tracking with OPK (wasn’t ttc that cycle just testing) I got stressed with it and had a 31 day cycle and ovulated CD19 (peak on cd18) before that the longest I have had is 28 days (usually 24-27 days). Since that I’ve gone back to normal as calmed down 😂 apart from the cycle that I had covid before ovulation that one was 33 days!

Just don’t stop testing! This is coming from someone who’s just ovulated on cd26! 🙈 I so nearly just threw the towel in after 2 weeks of testing and thought il just wait to get my period and start again next time.. but sure enough, it showed up, just very late! Keep an eye on CM, that was the giveaway for me as it changed two days before my tests did and I would never usually notice that

I didn’t lose hope and tested again this morning and got .57 on Premom (high for me for a morning) and I got a flashing smiley!!! Thank you for your reassuring words ♥️
