Positive OPK 8dpo?!

Hi ladies! Please help!

We have been trying for 6 months now and my cycle is regular. I normally ovulate between days 16 and 19 which I track with OPKs! This cycle I wasn't tracking with OPKs as we were on holiday so we're doing the deed quite a lot during my fertile window!

Skip to today which is cycle day 24, approx 8dpo according to my app. I've had quite a bit of CM (not ewcm) so I have just done an OPK and it's positive?!? Seems strange I would ovulate nearly a week late?!

Anyone every experienced this?!

@cookielove I haven't no, I thought it a little early. I have some arriving tomorrow!!

I'm wondering if flying could mess with my cycle a little!? Is that a thing?! 😂

Oh god I shouldn't have looked!! Hate getting my hopes up! It's always disappointment 🥺 We dtd last night so if I am ovulating late hopefully we are still in with a chance!

You can get LH surges at other times during your cycle, not always when you ovulate..

@Rowen32 this is just unusual for me so thought I'd ask the question. Only time will tell!

If you didn’t confirm ovulation occurred in your usual times then it could be late ovulation.

I usually get a peak on cd18, last cycle I got it on cd23 so ovulation occurred 5 days later for me.

Take a preg test!!!

@Nita19 I suggest dtd today to cover this peak just incase. You could always test on the original 14dpo, then test again 8 days after that? I know, it’s increasing the tww. Good luck with the wait.

So I've done a test with clear blue and there is a faint line. But I absolutely do not trust these tests!! I'm be been burnt by them before! Also did an OPK with same urine and that's still very positive! Maybe it's late ovulation for me.

Not sure how this turned out, but in my first pregnancy I got a positive OPK on the first day of my missed period which then led me to take a pregnancy test which was positive 🥰

@LuckyYou13 it definitely seems to be possible! I've read a few stories on here now of people that have had similar experiences to you 🥰 it was just late ovulation for me though I think. As I carried on tracking it after that test and it started to come down again after about 24 hours. So I'm now 7dpo and crossing everything that this is our month!

Have you done anymore pregnancy tests?
