Very Faint Line On Test ?????

This morning i used one of those cheap test, the positive line was very faint, it did say on the box one line might be lighter than the other, but it was just too light. I am due for my period today

My very faint line (well actually it was a dot on my test) is now 13 months old

ime a line is a line. false positives are practically unheard of as HCG levels are only high enough to produce the line if u are actually pg. faint line for early days perhaps, if the hormone level isn't as high?

how fast did the line appear? If it appeared within 10 minutes (or however many minutes it says on the box), then it could be a real line. If not, it could be an evaporation line - which I've had with a cheap test.

I've also had another test, which gave a clear positive, but also a second very faint line, which was odd.

belgo - the line appeared with 5 mins, do any of you suggest i do another test tomorrow morning, which testing kit do you thing is best?

You could do another cheap test tomorrow, just for arguments sake! But if I were you, I'd wait till the next day (so your HCG has time to build up a bit) then get a clearblue digital, there is no trying to read lines with them.

Carry on using the tests you have got, but do it again in a couple of days time. If you are pg the line will get darker as your levels increase. Although tbh if the faint line appeared in 5 mins you probably are pg!

NatalieJane- No not yet, i am waiting to do it tomorrow morning i thought its best i wait two days, but all the symtomps seem to ve kicked in so i am hoping for the best,,,

I got a very faint line on a pregnancy test 3 days ago. My dh said he couldn't see it but I definitely could and I read that even a very faint line means your pregnant. I tested again today and got a very positive result so if you test in a couple of days, it will be darker.
