Opk getting lighter

Hi all,
I've had 6 miscarriages since last July (no kids) so as you can imagine, it's pretty rubbish. After my last one in summer I started taking supplements and had a break from TTC, and my cycles have got noticeably shorter. They used to be 31-35 days, my last 2 were 27 and then 25 days.
I started taking opks this month the day after my period finished, so CD 7 and there was a line so I thought I might be on the way up to ovulating early. They got a bit stronger, but now CD 10 they've completely disappeared.
Has this happened to anyone? I know I must be super early but they've never progressed and then disappeared before.
Really sick of this whole process tbh but there we go! Thanks x

You can have small amounts of lh through the cycle, I would say they are feint. It’s when the test line is stronger than the control, usually it’s the lh peak and then ovulation can occur shortly after. I use bbt as well to see my temperature rise and confirm ovulation did occur. Keep testing.

Thanks yeah, I know they're no way near positive yet, it's more the fact there was a line and now there isn't but I clearly haven't ovulated so, I'll just keep waiting and see what happens

Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. Sounds incredibly tough.

I'm still figuring out OPKs so by no means am expert but from my own experience I've found line can fluctuate a lot. This cycle i had quite a strong line (though not a positive) at day 8 which threw me. Thought maybe I was going to ovulate early so kept resting and then it disappeared totally. Took several days for any hint of a line to come back. And then it seemed to take ages for it to darken but it did in the end and I got a clear positive around the day I'd usually expect it.

I found switching to testing twice a day a few days before you expect ovulation (if you've got a rough idea) helps make sure you catch it.

Anyway, hang in there and good luck x

Thank you so much, I've never experienced it so it's very likely what you've described! I hope you have all the luck and success on your journey xx
