Hi all,

Need help with my BBT chart. On Day 12 of my cycle, my ovulation kit turned positive, temperatures rose by ~1 degrees F, so I assume I ovulated. Day 16 temperature begun to drop by ~0.5 degrees F. Day 17 same temp as Day 16. Should I be concerned?

Temperature increases do not happen linearly. you need to interpret the trend that your temps show. Hopefully itll increase again but if they continue dropping to pre ovulation levels and stay low then its an indicator of lowering progesterone BUT it's not a failproof science. I've seen charts of pregnant women whose temps dropped well below the coverline. Good luck

I should caveat that the above applies during the tww. Pregnancy pushes bbt up and what I noticed is temps picking back up once the tww is over or around that time, if temps had been lower to begin with. Good luck

Do you use an app to track it, I use fertilityfriend which is helpful. Did you have three sustained temps on days 12,13,14? Usually it’s three consecutive temps to confirm it. Also I use Celsius so I’m not sure exactly what the change in F should be. My usual in the follicular stage is 36.1-36.4 then once ovulation occurs it’s 36.4-36.8 until the day before AF. It goes up and down in those ranges throughout that stage. I do have the occasional day in either stage that goes out if that range. Things can affect it such as sleep, alcohol, slightly later in the morning, if I got up within the three hours before taking it then it’s affected. I mean 0.5F could potentially still keep it in the range, I don’t know.

I track it on paper. Yes, I had four sustained temperature days. I hope 0.5F could still be in the range. Will post the chart once I go through the entire cycle..

Can you tell me which day did I ovulate? I got a positive ovulation test on 12th day of my cycle
