Positive then Negative?!?

Help!!

Periods are a bit irregular since coil came out. Did the bottom test yesterday around 2pm so not first morning urine!

So was confident (and elated!!) that I got a good positive on the first response test within a few minutes. No longer than 5.

Wanted to confirm my positive this morning and it looks negative??? Like there's no visible line.

Could I have higher hCG in the middle of the day? Could this be a hook effect?

3 days until my period and 12 days post ovulation - "ish" as I'm not totally regular.

Has anyone had a hook effect? Is a positive definitely a positive?

Bottom is yesterday afternoons positive
Top is this mornings negative

It's too early for the hook effect, that happens 6+ weeks.

Some women have higher HCG in the afternoon/evening from what I've heard (not sure how true this is) but it could be a chemical.

Best to wait another day or 2 and take another one and see what it says.

Ahh, how bizarre!! Im not sure any help but my tests were always more positive in the afternoon/evenings. Keeping fingers crossed for you 🥰
