Hi all - looking for anyone who can share their experiences.

I’m currently 7dpo and have had cramping/twinges in lower abdomen since 5dpo. On 5 and 6 dpo I had back pain like sciatica on my left side only. I normally feel ovulation and not implantation - do we think this could be implantation? Has anyone had similar then had a BFP?

I have had 3 early losses and have felt little cramps before but normally later in the cycle. I should point out I ovulated a week later than expected this cycle too.

Anyone out there can share experiences at 7dpo that led to a BFP? And when they got a BFP?

I usually get sore boobs after O but have only had tender nipples for a few days and now there is nothing. I have also dried up almost completely with CM which is unusual. Tried to check my cervix and couldn’t reach it - is this good or bad at this stage? I don’t frequently check I must admit.

Sending lots of love to all those ttc x

@tashadae27 I really hole it is, I’ve done a Morrisons one just now and it was completely negative, but it isn’t as sensitive as the cheap ones. I’m going to test in the morning with a cheap one again (not for any others in) and will hopefully get more clarity.
Managing to keep my hopes quite low and not got too excited so if it was a false positive I hopefully won’t be too upset.

vitahelp · 15/09/2022 12:37

Hey, how is everyone doing? Did another cheap test this morning and I think the line was clearer but still unsure if there was any colour in it. I’ve just got a bad gut feeling it is a bad batch of tests. I don’t feel pregnant at all, got a slight headache but nothing else..

tashadae27 · 15/09/2022 15:41

@vitahelp hey lovely, not doing too bad here, parents are visiting this week and it's hard trying to hide my occasional nausea! I'm so bloated and just don't feel right but we will see!
Do you have any of the other tests ie pink line ones (FRER) they tend to pick up earlier results. Just because you don't feel pregnant doesn't mean you arent, I didn't have many symptoms last time until I actually found out I was pregnant, I think this time I'm just trying to find symptoms and the slightest one I'm like oooohh it could be pregnancy related! Haha.

vitahelp · 15/09/2022 17:46

Feel so upset, just done a Morisons test and it was completely white bfn. Yet the cheap internet one came up with a line.

So I decided to put another of the cheap internet ones in some tap water to see what it did and it came up with a fucking line..even looked darker than the line I got. What on earth.. so basically I’m not pregnant and stupidly got my hopes up due to these tests. What a waste of time

vitahelp · 15/09/2022 17:47

The line on the tap water one even looks pink in colour, unbelievable

tashadae27 · 16/09/2022 10:39

@vitahelp sorry to hear that you have a bad batch! Are you going to test again on your period due date? Could still be too early to get any positive results yet? Hope you're okay

vitahelp · 16/09/2022 10:42

I tested this morning on a Morisons one and it was bfn. I’m 11dpo and temp dropped this morning so I know I’m out. It’s hit me very hard this month with having a bit of hope from the bad tests. I hardly ever cry but was in tears driving to work. I really hope there is better news on this thread for everyone else xxx

tashadae27 · 16/09/2022 22:14

@vitahelp sorry to hear that but still don't rule it out!
My temp also dropped slightly this morning, however this evening I have had what I'm assuming is implantation bleeding (I had it last time). BBT can drop on implantation not necessarily because of a looming period, but I understand your concerns and I'm sorry that you found it hard. I'd still encourage you to test on your period due date though but I understand if you don't want to.
Will keep you all posted on what's happening on my side of things but I also want you all to know that I'm here if any of you are struggling in any way (I've been there through loss and wouldn't want anyone to struggle, I'll help wherever I can). X

Geemmm · 17/09/2022 08:29

@vitahelp sorry to hear about the tests - hopefully it's just too early to pick up still. 11dpo is still quite early for a lot of folk.

Well I have tested every day since 7dpo and from 9dpo with my FRER and they are stark white. I don't feel like my period is coming though - I'm due tomorrow and I've no cramps/sore back which I normally have now. Think I'm clinging to hope but I assume I'm out this month. Every other BFP has come at 12dpo previously and I'm 13dpo now.

Sending lots of luck to you girls 🤞🏻

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok?
Just wanted to keep you all updated, I had very light what appeared to be implantation bleeding Friday evening, Saturday what appeared to be an extremely light period with cramps and the same today. Today is 12dpo I tested and got a BFN, although because this bleeding came 4 days early and I have the most horrendous pain in my boobs hay idont normally get I'm going to test on Tuesday again as that's when my period was due. So will update you on Tuesday. I'm so very confused, I feel my body is trying to tell me something it's all gone weird!

Geemmm · 18/09/2022 11:36

@tashadae27 defo keep us updated how u get on over the next few days girl!

I've taken a period this morning. It's a little different than normal - cramps aren't as severe as I usually get before hand/at the start and it's quite light atm (I'm usually very heavy from the get go - clots etc). I think it is definitely AF as would be very late for anything else at this point as I'm 14dpo. At least I know and this cycle we go again. I'm also waiting on tests back from recurrent miscarriage clinic and she said they would have been void if I was pregnant so silver linings and all that 🙄.

Anyways please keep me in the loop with what happens with you ladies - fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@Geemmm would you like to keep in touch on here for our next cycles if we aren't successful this month? It's been nice chatting to you all about our experiences :)

Geemmm · 18/09/2022 11:44

@tashadae27 definitely! I think it's good to have folk to chat to that are navigating the same situations. 😊

vitahelp · 18/09/2022 21:26

I’m sorry for the late reply and thank you so much for your kind posts. I really struggled on Thu-Fri, I think having that hope from the dodgy tests really messed with my head. Thankfully I turned a corner on Sat and feel a lot better today and ready to start again. AF arrived today too so I can move on from that cycle and look ahead.

I would love to stay in touch with you ladies on our next cycle 😊

@tashadae27 I’m sorry things have been a bit confusing with the bleeding. I hope things are a bit clearer by Tuesday, let us know how you get on.

@Geemmm Sorry your AF came too, it can be a relief as you can leave that cycle behind and focus on the next one. I hope you get some clarity from the miscarriage clinic soon,

tashadae27 · 20/09/2022 12:11

Well ladies today is day 14 and got another BFN. So confusing today I am so exhausted I still can't get out of bed I just want to sleep (luckily its my day off!) The light period was 2 days and then light dark Brown spotting (not even pad worthy) so I'm so confused. May test again in a few days otherwise assuming this was a really light and really short period (never had this before)

Will deffo keep in touch for next cycle and keeping everything crossed for better results! X

vitahelp · 20/09/2022 19:06

@tashadae27 I hope you can find out what’s going on soon, the short period sounds really odd, I would definitely test in a few days like you say, let us know xx

tashadae27 · 25/09/2022 14:23

Hi all, how are you all feeling? I started doing ovulation tests (purely because with my really light short period I don't know what's happening with my cycle this month!) I did do a clearblue test day which showed a feint line but I'm sure it was an evap line as all others tests are BFN.

Anyway, here's lots of luck and baby dust to you all xx

vitahelp · 29/09/2022 12:44

@tashadae27 All good here thanks. On CD12 today, usually ovulate on CD15 but was CD12 last month so not sure what to expect. Doing OPKs this month and not had a decent line yet.
I've heard that clearblue can be a bit dodgy for evap lines, have you done any more tests now?

tashadae27 · 29/09/2022 13:04

Hey @vitahelp on cd13 here (I assumed the light 2 day bleeding was a light period) so also doing OPks too.
Yeah!! So they deffo showed evap lines which looked like positive lines not gonna lie! I did a CB digital was negative so here we are (again)!
Waiting for a nice solid dark line on my opks. My blood sugars (type 1 diabetic) are through the roof so I reckon this pm/tomorrow will be positive.
Keep you all updated as and when 😘

Geemmm · 29/09/2022 18:32

Hey ladies - sorry for the silence I didn't realise I had notifications switched off! CD12 here but I've not got any opks and have decided to take a month off of tracking since this is cycle 24 trying (need a wee months break before I lose it)! I'm all over lol I had EWCM on CD7 and on and off until yesterday when I got really wet - you know that way where you think you've came on AF? We've been DTD every second night just trying to keep it consistent and not worry this month. Not sure when I'm gonna O but my apps are saying day 17 predicted. I usually go between cd13 and cd 17 but last month was cd21 so god only knows. I'm actually waiting to hear back about my test results from recurrent miscarriage clinic tomorrow 🤞🏻. Which opks are you using? X

OP posts:
tashadae27 · 29/09/2022 19:47

@Geemmm hiya, oh bless you, hope the results go okay (as best as they can given the circumstances).
I know what you mean, I haven't had the CM yet, which I usually have by now, my app predicts the big O on cd17 too but I could have sworn it'd come early as having flashing smileys on OPK. I use a basic brand from amazon been using them years for tracking, and I also use clearblue ovulation kit, I like to see the smiley face as opposed to reading the darkness of a line if that makes sense. So I do both to double confirm haha. X

Geemmm · 29/09/2022 20:28

@tashadae27 thanks mrs - will keep you updated when I hear from them. Ahh I see - do u rate the clear blue ovulation kit? I've never used it only it's used the easy@home but loads of folk use them I keep seeing. They can be wrong I suppose if you sticks are flashing. Btw is that a monthly thing your sugars change when you are about to O? I didn't realise it affected things like that x

OP posts:
tashadae27 · 29/09/2022 20:32

@Geemmm I do like it yeah, the flashing smiley means it's detected a rise in estrogen it'll display flashing smiley face until it detects a rise in LH when it will show a static smiley face. If it detects nothing it's a blank circle. I like using them never had a problem with them to be honest.
Yeah so the week leading up to and including ovulation (when the hormones are on the rise) my body becomes resistant to the insulin I inject, and the same with the few days leading upto and including AF. Its a real pain in the butt, a struggle but I'm used to it. For about 2 weeks of the month my sugars are perfect, damn hormones! 😎

tashadae27 · 01/10/2022 11:27

Positive LH line today (had static smiley yesterday on CB OPK) but trying to DTD is a problem right now. I think my poor DH is stressed about TTC. So we shall see what happens.
Hope you are all ok.
@Geemmm hope everything went OK eith your results x

Geemmm · 01/10/2022 18:39

@tashadae27 that sounds a lot to manage - well done you for being so in top of it! I got a positive today too (although I must admit I shouldn't have taken it and it was one opk I had left over as I haven't bought a new box). I might try those ones when we are back tracking properly - I've always fancied them. Do u track them with a specific app? My DF is having a hard time with it all atm too - feel like I can't burst in and be like "hey time to DTD".

The test results didn't come back with what I was hoping tbh. They have shown positive for lupus antibodies. Apparently you need two positive tests 12 weeks apart to confirm so my next app for blood tests is in December. They have asked us not to try to get pregnant in the meantime - but honestly I don't fancy losing 3 cycles.

They have said though if it's lupus then they will give me injections and aspirin if we fall again to help sustain the pregnancy and reduce risk of clots. I would also get progesterone and an early scan at 6 weeks. She said I would need monitored throughout just due to higher risks but we would discuss more at my next appointment and after the next set of bloods.

Feeling a bit meh with it all now. I'd never even heard of lupus until the other day. Have you ladies any experience/knowledge of it? Apparently it's really common - 40% of females in Britain have it.
