Two chemicals back to back, just bad luck?

Im normally a 28 day cycle with AF making an appearance 12 days after ovulation- pretty much like clockwork.

Last month I tested positive and I got to day 34, 6 days late, and the same thing has happened this month.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think it’s just bad luck or could something else be playing a part? I was going to try and get an appointment with a doctor but I read they won’t do anything unless it happens for a third time.

It could be really bad luck ( and I'm sorry for your losses, a loss is a loss).
Make sure you log the pregnancies with your doctor so that if you do have the unfortunate event of another loss it's your third loss and you can be referred to a clinic.

As I said could be seriously bad luck but equally could be that your progesterone is too low to hold on to the pregnancy or other hormones may be at play. You're definitely more fertile after a pregnancy so fingers crossed for you if you're aiming for another pregnancy it will happen but best to tell doctor from now of the losses and see if there is anything at all that can be tested.

Best of luck to you x

Hi, I am sorry to ready your story. You do not need to worry, up to 3 pregnancy loss can happen with no reason. Hope this helps.

bubble55 · 20/09/2022 19:13

@Thestoppedfan you do not need it to happen 3 times. The guidelines have changed and it’s after the first time now. This happened to me and I get an early scan and progesterone pesseries x

ChloeN · 20/09/2022 20:15

@bubble55 just jumping on as I’ve had a mc and still thought it was 3 times! Do you just ring your gp or epu for progesterone/early scans?

bubble55 · 20/09/2022 20:29

@ChloeN yeah the epu arrange the scan and then once a positive scan is confirmed they issue progesterone. The guidelines have literally just changed this year!

hope this helps :)

@bubble55 I bloody asked epu if they’d scan me next time and they said no, what the hell!🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m going to phone and ask next time I’m pregnant, not sure if progesterone would help for a mmc but worth a go!

bubble55 · 20/09/2022 20:56

@ChloeN Ah no way, maybe I’m lucky with my trust but the guidelines are there to be followed so definitely mention it x
