Predicting ovulation

I have a 25 day cycle, do I count back 14 days to work out my predicted ovulation...when I do this do I count the first day of my period as day one ??

You can't predict ovulation based on how long your cycle is, it's not necessarily at exactly the half way point (but it might be!). First day of your period is CD1. Best thing to do is test your basal body temp at the same day every day, this is the best indicator of when you ovulate - you'll get a temp spike after ovulation. If you're wanting to conceive, you can use ovulation tests too, hopefully those plus the BBT will give you a good indication of when you ovulate!
