No static smiley

This is my first month using Clear blue OPKs, for the last 5 days I’ve had a flashing smiley but no static yet. Does this mean I’m unlikely to ovulate?

I think it says to keep going until it’s 10-12 days, but it’s been a while so I can’t remember. Do you know roughly when you ovulate? Eg cervical mucus, or length of your cycles. For example my cycles are usually 31 days and I ovulate cd18. However on my first time measuring I started on cd8 just after my period stopped. So I was having to test for over 10 days. My cervical mucus appears for 6-10 days though which is a good indication for me.

I used the cheap opk tests and an app. I did use cb the first month as well, but I didn’t like it as much as seeing the data in the app.

I previously used my Fitbit app to track but as there was no thought of babies I never really paid close attention to it. It suggested that ovulation should have been Tuesday. Part of the reason I decided to start testing was to try and confirm how accurate it was. My cycle varies between between 24-27 days.

I've had this, and I've also skipped the flashing and gone straight to static. You're using the 4-day ones right?

I always tested once a day with FMU until I got the flashing, and then I would test FMU, afternoon and before bed as the static can appear any time.

We were successful when we had sex the day after the flashing appeared and then every other day until 2-days post the static smiley appearing and/or EWCM had appeared.

It's also possible that you'll ovulate late, twice, or your LH isn't detectable this month.

@jazzibelle yes using the 4 day ones. Another flashing smiley today, I’ll give it another couple of days and stop for this month.

The static smiley came this morning - CD17. Glad I kept testing now 🙂
