Morning sickness AND a period?

I have just had a 5 day period but am experiencing what I can only describe as morning sickness - that low-level nausea and tiredness. I have had 3 children and it has been the same each time - but is it possible I could be pregnant and have had a period?

Bit freaked out as not actually trying to get pg.... don't dare tell dh as he is not keen on no.4 idea! HELP xxxx

Take a test?

Yes - I know but I don't have a spare one at home and won't be able to get one until the weekend. But is it possible - I have heard of people giving birth when they didn't know they were pregnant and they had continued to have their periods throughout - is it true or just an old wive's tale?

it is more likely you have a bug and are not pregnant

if you are using contraception and have a had a period, odds are you are not pregnant

it is possible to have periods and be pregnant, but not that common

your doctor or chemist might be able to do a test for you

I often have that low level nausea and tiredness, despite not being pregnant. AS lulumama says, most likely a bug, but if it continues, do a test and see a doctor.

I get that nausea regularly, especially in the first party of my cycle after my period is over.

I read that people do sometimes bleed all the way through their pregnancy but it's not a real period as your body releases hormones which stop your periods.

Having said that I am thinking 'am I pregnant' despite having had a period of around 11 days starting 7th Jan.

When I went to the doctors about my swolen nodes she asked if there was any way I could be pregnant and seemed to imply that it was entirely possible that I could be despite having had a period. Sadly I did a test on 15th and it was negative. I don't think I'll put myself through doing another one 'just in case'.

I have bought some Ovulation stick things, yesterday i got two lines but one was fainter than the other, today I got just one line. Really not sure what's going on.
