AF started today after ERPC/D&C on 5/08/22. Feeling so down and like it’s never going to happen for me so would love to hear some stories about bfp after miscarriage and how long it took x

Hi I'm sorry to hear about your loss Flowers
I had an early miscarriage in Aug 2020 when I was 4 months postpartum (not planned but was over the moon to get positive test). I naturally started bleeding and lost the pregnancy in the 5th week.

We weren't trying but fell pregnant again in September 2021 and again although not planned I was thrilled. Turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy which I had treatment for (non-surgical) so wasn't allowed to TTC for at least 3 months.

We agreed to TTC as soon as we were cleared (Feb). It didn't happen that first month, I was devastated but stayed positive and the following month we got our BFP (March 2022)
Now 28 weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby.

I really hope you get your BFP soon! 🤞🏼❤️

I completely understand as I had exactly the same fears as you. I also felt like I'd never laugh again, it's a truly heartbreaking thing to go through.

I had a MMC in 2004, then another in 2006 and remember feeling so lonely and afraid that I'd never have a baby.

I had a healthy daughter in 2007. A few years later I had an early miscarriage but conceived immediately afterwards without waiting for a period. That pregnancy resulted in a second healthy daughter in 2010.

Best wishes Positivethoughts92 💐

I had an early miscarriage (around 5/6 weeks) in June of 2019. I have myself a month or two off from trying and was then pregnant again by Christmas. When my daughter was 1 I tried again, got pregnant straight away and now have another daughter. You will have your babies, don’t worry. Miscarriage is very common but also very distressing. I lost a lot of weight between my miscarriage and getting pregnant and it took me a while to get over.

I'm so sorry for your loss, OP.

Years ago, I had a missed miscarriage, found out at the 12wk scan. Had D&C. This was late August. I had infection and was quite unwell for a few weeks.

We waited another couple of months before trying again, and I got a positive test the following January. It felt like forever, but in reality, it was the time I needed to heal.

DD (aspirin/progesterone/prednisolone)

all happened very quickly when we were trying but I did give myself three months off after my last miscarriage to let my body recover. Sorry for your loss

Thank you for all your replies and so sorry you all have went through this too and some of you so many times. It is really is life altering..for me anyway, I never understood how much it affected a woman until it happened to me. It is so common but none of my friends have been through it and have all had their children effortlessly so it has made me feel a bit isolated and like there has to be something wrong with me. In reality I know it is so common though but I think it would be a little easier if I had a child already to know it is possible, this was my first pregnancy. It is so reassuring that most people go onto have children 🤞🏻 Thank you for the well wishes 💕. I am a bit of a control freak and feel so helpless that there is nothing I can do to prevent this happening again and I am trying so hard to not to be negative and assume it is because there may be an underlying issue because I know they won’t investigate it until 3 or more anyway so I am better just thinking positively 🤞🏻

I had a mmc in July.

I found out Tuesday that I'm pregnant!

I know it's easy for me to say this now, but just give it time. Allow yourself to heal and communicate with your partner.

Sending love x
