Is this a faint positive?!

From tracking my cycle I would be 7 weeks at this time, is this a faint positive?
I've never had a line show up before. I'm an avid tester and this will be my first pregnancy.

As in 7 weeks pregnant?

Soph1302 · 07/09/2022 08:05

Yes, the first day of my last period was 16th July, I did bleed last month but it last 2 days and never filled a pad, I have always bleed heavily with large clots for at least 5 days. If I am pregnant I'd be 7 weeks along, me and my DH haven't done the deed since the start of Aug

Have you tested before now?

GeorgiePorge · 07/09/2022 08:08

sorry but very unlikely if 7 weeks. At 4 weeks you may be pregnant with a bit of a squinty test but I would be expecting really clear lines by 5 weeks

fairgame84 · 07/09/2022 08:09

I can't really see anything. At 7 weeks it would be a blazing positive line. Sorry x

Jan6755 · 07/09/2022 08:10

Yes, I cannot really see the test result , but it would be a distinctive positive by 7 weeks. Sorry.

I've done a whole box of cheap tests called Wondo in the past month every few days. This is the first one to get a line

Soph1302 · 07/09/2022 08:17

I was afraid that might be the case, thanks anyway guys :')

I can see a line.

Frankly I found these tests to be a bit rubbish so to be sure I'd use a frer to be sure Op.

I can see a line albeit faint.

Soph1302 · 07/09/2022 08:21

Thank you! I will send DH to get some today and I'll test tomorrow morning :)

If you haven't had sex since start of August and testing regularly then you would have got a BFP by now.

I can see a line but I would say it would mean you had sex/ovulated maybe 9/10 days ago. As that's not the case it's probably a faulty test or an indent.

Hi everyone, I've spoken with my DH and he's told me that we did DTD some time in the 2nd and 3rd weeks of Auguest after we came back from our honeymoon. My cycles average at 28 days, would I actually be about 3 weeks?

I don't see a line @Soph1302 . There's two options:

  1. you skipped ovulation for your July cycle or it was delayed into august. It's normal to have this happen every so often even when someone is fine and healthy.
  2. you had a v short period in August (when was this bleed?) and so are in that cycle. If you count that as a period, what cycle day are you on?

For your pregnancy test, wait 2 days and use a FRER and see.

Hi there, my short bleed was on the 11th and 12th of Aug and then 1 bit of spotting on 13th.

My next period is supposed to start this Friday

Is FRER reliable as I keep seeing really bad reviews against them?

OP posts:
IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 07/09/2022 10:43

I have always found FRER to be gold standard @Soph1302 .

So if your period was 12tg August, if you were pregnant you'd be a max of 3.5 weeks (1.5 weeks since conception). So I'd consider waiting until your period would be due based on a cycle starting 12th august

mamazac · 07/09/2022 10:49

That's what my faint positive looked like about 5 days before my period, you could be pregnant but defo not 7 weeks

Is this a faint positive?!
Soph1302 · 07/09/2022 11:03

Thank yiu both, that gives me hope, I'll try my hardest to wait the next 2 days out without testing, I'm just so impatient when it comes to this
