Hi all
I'm just letting off some steam, so I got the clear blue sticks to check ovulation it came up as yesterday where I'm highly fertile so hubby and I tried.. now it's a case of waiting. I'm flying out to Canada next week and just want to be pregnant more than ever :( I now have to do the 2 week wait and ugh it's the worst. And then if I'm not pregnant I'll just feel so deflated. Let's see. I guess we're all in it together..

I'm in the same boat, I think OV is today or tomorrow so also in the TWW.
It took ages to conceive my first and we're not currently actively trying (or preventing) but DTD during (suspected) ovulation, (I have irregular cycles) so waiting to see what happens.

Enjoy Canada, I love it there!

Thank u @Lemonbell and @december2020 defo need a holiday! Good luck to us all I suppose!! I wonder what discharge is present if u end up getting pregnant. This is my first time trying so I'm not sure. I used clear blue ovulation sticks so that would mean that my period (if not pregnant) is due in 14 days from yesterday? Hmm

@S.Johal did you get a positive ovulation test yesterday or Sunday?
your period may not be due in 14 days (unless you’ve been tracking awhile and know it is) as every woman is different. The Luteal Phase can be anything up to 16 days usually but an average Luteal Phase is 12-16 days. Some women are less than 12 days. Ovulation date can differ slightly cycle to cycle but the luteal phase tends to stay the same

I’m really sorry if you know all of this I don’t want to sound like a know it all it was just because of your question mark at the end I thought you may not know. I had no clue until I started ttc #2 recently!

@allgoodthings84 thanks so much for this, definitely welcome all advice- I feel like as women we briefly vaguely know but when it comes to yourself u always end up worrying and needing extra reassurance!! So thanks for the info☺️.

I ovulated on Monday (had fixed smiley face on the clear blue sticks)..

I now need to keep busy and not think about any and every "symptom"!! Let's see Confusedxxx

@S.Johal the fixed smiley doesn't mean you ovulated, it means the LH surge is detected which is the hormone your body produces as it's ready to release an egg. Actual ovulation can still happen days later. Every woman is different of course, but pay attention to your CM as well as the OPK sticks.

If you see the static, have sex. Then keep going every 48-hours if you can until 2 days after you get the static smiley. We always worked on the basis that sperm survived for only 48-hours once inside (it varies and without any of us actually knowing we erred on the side of the shortest time).

To answer your CM question, I always found I saw no CM if not pregnant. When pregnant I spotted both the creamy and clear kind, seating positive around 12DPO.

Best of luck! It's so hard not to symptom spot. FWIW, with both my pregnancies I didn't think it had happened. During the TWW I got a sharp pain when implantation happened with my first, and my second I felt nothing other than hungry.

Sorry, I meant if you see the flashing! :-)

S.Johal · 20/09/2022 11:05

Thanks @jazzibelle that's helpful. So I havent tested as I'm quite nervous to check... I'm late on my period (fertile window between 31st aug and 6th sept...) since 16th sept I had cramping here and there, quite painful. I went on a hike on Sunday 19th and experienced a light bit of blood that evening and very light smears of dry blood.
Should I take a pregnancy test? I'm nervous for outcome as I really want positive outcome!!
