Feeling slightly sad and disheartened today!

Found out I was pregnant Friday with a early pregnancy test and then yesterday I had some light pink & brown spotting and now today it's watery red with some small clots. Thankfully I am in no pain or anything but as you can imagine I feeling nothing but negative thoughts. I bled with my daughter but I don't remember it being like this but then it was a few years ago!

I don't really know what to do, EPU don't see anyone under 5 weeks so I guess I ride this out and see what happens.

I’m in a similar boat tested positive over the weekend following iui on 19 Aug but had light spotting when wiping on Sunday.

Though I had bad cramps / pain and bleeding on Sunday night. The pain has largely subsided but I’m now having heavy bleeding with tissue / small clots (tmi) and mild cramps so think I’m having a chemical / early loss.

Tests are still positive but I know it takes time for HCG to come back down.

I’m due to get bloods done on Friday to confirm.

From the frantic googling I’ve been doing, light bleeding with no pain isn’t necessarily the worst case scenario. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. It may not do any harm to have a chat to your GP, they may be able to do bloods and monitor hcg. It’s no guarantee but if something.

I rang the doctors who told me that it all sounds positive because there's no pains and that I should leave it 2 weeks and if I'm still bleeding then then to contact them again and they'll refer me. Which felt like no help at all 🤦🏼‍♀️ I did try to explain that it was fresh red blood which did have clots and is kind of heavy but she just said bleeding can be so normal!! Mind blowing that I was not offered blood tests etc

Hope your tests go okay!

I completely understand how you feel about that but try to take what little reassurance you can from the fact there’s no pain. Don’t be afraid to ask for a second opinion / bloods.

I will keep everything crossed that it stops for you and it’s smooth sailing from here on.

Thanks, that’s really kind of you. Fairly certain I know the answer in my case, but just want them to confirm so I can work out my next steps.

I thought I’d prepared myself for all the possible outcomes but admittedly a chemical / loss so early wasn’t something which I’d considered. I didn’t even tell close family that my ivf cycle was converted to iui as I was convinced it wouldn’t work so just told them it was another cancelled cycle.

Glad I did as it’s enough to have to deal with my own disappointment without having to tell them it didn’t stick.
