Help please!

My period is 4 days late and I have been experiencing a few pregnancy symptoms (mostly extreme tiredness and feeling sick in the morning). I waited this long before taking a test as I find the disappointment so crushing when it’s negative that I’d rather not know. I took a Clear Blue early detection test this morning and got a horizontal line in the box where it would show a vertical line if I was pregnant. Does anyone know what this means? I actually think I picked the wrong kind of test given I’m 4 days late but I’m on holiday and panicked and they had hardly any to choose from 🤣 I know the answer is take another test (a different one), I know this is what I need to do. I’m not sure why I’m brain dumping this here other than I thought I was pregnant this time and now I feel so disappointed. Just trying not to let it ruin my holiday but it’s hard to keep positive sometimes!

I believe that's a negative result.

I'm sure it shows on the box what it means.

Do you mean the test was faulty? As in it should have had one line one way but it was the wrong way round? Xx

Hi @JaneGnR88, it was one of the tests where it would show 1 vertical line in that box if it was positive and nothing if it was negative (I know some of them are a cross but this wasn’t that type). But for some reason it was a fairly clear horizontal line. I think the only way I will confirm for sure is doing another test, I was just so certain and now all confused!!

The horizontal line is part of the test! I know which ones you mean they all have them there I’m afraid I googled the hell out of it when I first used one and wondered what it was
