I have just got this line on a sainsburys test. I'm pretty sure it's a positive but paranoid it's a false one. Has anyone got experience's good or bad with them?
I'm in total shock, I'm 46 and haven't used contraception for over 2 years, I thought I was past it!

but paranoid it's a false one.

Not at all likely to be a false positive, it's just a very obvious very clear positive, congratulations. Smile

Thank you, now the terrifying wait as I've been reading the miscarriage statistics tonight and it's not 😔

As someone who got unexpectedly pregnant at 44 AND at 45 I have to tell you that while you may be less fertile at 46 you are in no way "past it". Yes your risk of miscarriage is fairly high but if you make it past that your chances of a healthy baby if you go ahead are somewhere around 90%.
My "baby" is now nearly a teenager and I have to say I find it easier than I did with the older kids as I am far more relaxed and more sure of myself now.

Thanks @Madwomanuptheroad29 , I actually had my last baby at 44 and I agree much more chilled this time than when I had my older kids, just also a lot more tired!

@Daisypod wow congratulations 🎊 wishing you a healthy pregnancy

Thank you @NatGee .

Got a first response this afternoon and no doubting that result, surprised how dark it is as only 2 days after period was expected. Feeling so very lucky but know the next few months will be nerve racking.
