Hello there! Come and join us on the link that FYM has posted!

With regard to cervix charting, I've been thinking about doing that too. If this cycle turns out to be unsuccessful, I'll do it next time. Apparently, it helps to think of the following;

S for soft, like the lips on your face
H for high, as in position
O for open, there's an opening when fertile
W for wet, self explanatory!

I know this sounds really silly and immature but I've always been really squeamish about checking my cervix and that's why I haven't really done it before. The only thing I've been able to do is check whether it's high or not!

oh FP go on and do it - its fun!

Seriously though I found I couldn't seem to do it first time round as I couldn't see the difference between open and closed....

visibly squirms

Thanks FYM & FP....i will check out the thread......I know it sounds squeamish to check your cervix, i was used to checking every now and then for threads when i had my coil. my nurse was well chuffed that i actually checked it because apparently hardly any of her patients did and asked her to do it instead!.... but hey its my body, all my dignity went out the window the moment my first dd was born and half the hospitals medical students attended to witness it !
