Is this an evap line?

Hi all,
would you say this is an evaporation line? I’m breastfeeding, I got one period and then it disappeared again. I’ve been tracking my ovulation all month and no sign of a positive OPK - wouldn’t OPK tests also come up positive if I were actually pregnant? I can’t even remember the last time I actually DTD tbh (must have been weeks) and if I am pregnant I’m sure there must be an issue, because surely the test wouldn’t be this faint? Thoughts?

Stupid question but is this a pregnancy test? I've not seen this one before so I can't comment on evaps but I can see a line.

If you are pregnant OPKs do often pick up the HCG hormone and show as positive or near positive.

If you haven't had sex for weeks then I would expect a clear line by now and if you haven't had a positive OPK then it suggested you haven't ovulated. Do you have any other tests you could try?

Thanks so much for your reply. It’s a pregnancy test.

Your thinking is exactly mine, if I were positive it should be a clear line by now and no indication I have ovulated. I think there can’t be any realistic chance that I am pregnant, but it is frustrating/ a bit confusing that my period has disappeared 😭. But I know that can happen with breastfeeding.

I don’t have any other tests to hand, but going to send my partner for a frer just to be 100% sure. Thank you! x

It looks positive to me, did the 2nd line come up within the time frame they give you?

Test again to be sure of course, but looks positive to me x

violetcuriosity · 30/08/2022 20:30

I would say that's positive

They are the same as hospital tests.

And from what I remember the first one is the test line and the second one is the control line.

In other words, if I am right, that's a VERY positive test. A 'dye stealer' I believe they call it.

@ImEasyLikeSundayMorning OP is holding by the urine end and usually a test line is closer to the urine end so it could be upside down, but I'm not familiar with these ones so I may be wrong.

@Golaz That looks like a test for the Clear Blue fertility monitor to me. Those ones shouldn’t be read by eye, only by the monitor - did you use the monitor to read the result? Even negative tests can look like they have a line - no idea why. I get the same looking line when not pregnant.
Basically, I would trust how the monitor interpreted that test and ignore any line you can see. You need to get standard pregnancy test to know for sure.

Thank you!!! This is exactly what it is 🙈🙈🙈. Feel like such a numpty 🤣🤣😅. I don’t have the monitor, but I have the digital ovulation test thing and bought some new ovulation sticks that said they came with four pregnancy tests and thought they were just regular preg tests , and since I hadn’t had a period in so long I thought I’d take one 🙈🙈.

So I have now done a clear blue digital and it came up ‘not pregnant’ which makes much more sense. It would have basically have to have been an emaculate conception 😂.

This afternoon I did at least get a solid smiley on the digi ovulation test, and a high result on the cheapo internet sticks, so there is light at the end of the tunnel at least! Fingers crossed I am at least ovulating again- I’m still bf but really keen to start trying again.

thanks so much for all your comments ladies. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to share thoughts/ advice xx
