Negative first response but late period

My last period was 31 July, but it didn’t arrive until the evening (6pm) so I wouldn’t have been surprised if it came Monday. I’m fairly regular in my cycles but do vary between 25-29 days.

I’ve never gone over 29 days before. Still no period but the thing is that I had two negative FRs. one was last Tuesday so too early but I took one Friday too which was also negative and I would have expected it to have shown a line by then if I was pregnant.

So I am either pregnant, and the FR was either faulty or just not sensitive enough, or I’m later than I’ve been before. I know no one can tell me the answer and I need to take another test, preferably different brand but I just need to ask if anyones had this. I had a solid smiley on clear blue ovulation one Sunday 14, so I probably did ovulate two weeks ago.

I'm completely new to all this but have had lots of pregnancy symptoms this month, had my estimated ovulation 14 days ago too. I am due on today and tested with first response test and it was negative, give it a few more days and try another brand. that's what i'd do.

I'm afraid I've had a few 'odd' periods that started late and confused the hell out of me. We might not be noticing those outside of TTC but they do happen. Hope it's a better news for you though x

This is exactly what I'm going through at the moment! My last period was 31st July too, I usually have a 26-29 day cycle. I had a static smiley on CB advanced digital on 12th Aug. Period was due on Saturday but still hasn't arrived, got some odd symptoms but negative tests every day so far. Feeling a little lost and stuck in limbo waiting for BFP or next cycle.

Hope you're okay, fingers crossed you get BFP soon. :) x

Even if you’ve never had a longer cycle than 29 days before it doesn’t mean it can’t happen. I usually ovulate on cd18 with a 31 day cycle. This time I ovulated on cd23. That’s 5 days later than normal. So my AF will also be due five days later. No differences really, it just happened.

You have tracked opk, assuming you ovulated on 15th and assuming your luteal phase is 14 days? Have you tested over the last few days? Last Friday could have been too early since it would have been ~11dpo and implantation could be 6-12dpo and after that it takes a few days to show on the test.
