Are period cramps after ovulation normal?

Hi!
I’ve been tracking my ovulation using premom easy@home opks alongside the premom app, in addition to the Flo app. I had my peak opk on the 25th of August, accompanied by cramps in my right side and lots of EWCM. My OPKs then became negative from the 26th and I also confirmed ovulation using BBT. I’m 2dpo now.
All day today, I have had the most horrific period cramps and I know it’s not AF as I’m not due until September 9th. I always get m period cramps but never mid-cycle, and never as severe as what I’m experiencing now. I’ve also never had cramps after ovulation before.
The cramps I have right now are so severe I can barely move, and they’re making me feel physically sick. I also keep having dizzy spells and pounding headaches; something I’ve also never had post ovulation. I know what I’m feeling aren’t pregnancy symptoms as it’s far too soon. I just wanted to know whether anyone else has felt like this before? I’m in agony, it doesn’t feel normal. The pain got so much at one point I cried!

If this isn’t normal for you I would get checked out. As you say it’s too early for it to be because of pregnancy so it could be anything so if it’s unbearable pain then you need to get checked out asap. I always get some ovulation cramps but it’s always right near ovulation and is quick and mild definitely nothing I would describe as agony. Anything that’s different to normal and is very painful is worth being checked out
