Hi

I am ttc my 2nd dc and keep thinking every little ache or pain could mean I have concieved I then carry out pregnancy tests and am then heartbroken when they are a bfn.

I have only been ttc for about 4 months in all so feel I have become obsessed its not like I have been ttc for ages.

I now have vague breast soreness which I don't think I have had before so I am off again.

I realise I am probably heading for another disappointment if I test.

Is anybody else like me keep imagining every symptom of pregnancy.

I didn't realise that ttc would get me like this.

Hi, This is my first time on here. For basically the same reason you are. I have been ttc for a year and a half, and many months swore I had every symptom in the book, only to be dissapointed again. I have done so many tests that come up negative and keep saying to myself it's too soon. Very expensive buying tests every couple of days. Sometimes when you want something so much your body plays tricks on you. I had sore boobs every month, got excited, but lately realised that maybe I had that as a symptom before AF every month, but wasn't taking as much notice. You are totally normal. A nutcase like me. Just be patient. I know it's hard. I always thought I knew when I ovulalted. Turns out totally wrong. Would advise getting a ovulation kit. Keep on testing till you get a positive surge. Detects ovulation by 24 - 36 hours.

i feel exactly the same lostittoday!,
i also have been trying to ttc for my 2nd dc.And i have been tring for the past 5 months too. I keep imagining all types of pregnancy symptoms . like nausea, breast soreness etc!! I have wasted over 6 tests now. Its very upsetting, i have become so obsessed by ttc that its all i think about now... On top of that my periods are irregular and i have bad cramping, so off to the doctor for advice tomorrow.

Can I join the club?

This is only my second month of trying for my first (AF arrived yesterday) and I am totally obsessed already. It is literally all I think about.

Was sooo disappointed yesterday and the thought of having to wait another whole month (probably only to be disappointed again)...don't even know how I'm going to get there.

Really don't know how I'm going to go through months (or years) of this.

So no you are totally normal!

Me too! Why oh why do I torture myself like this? No matter how much I tell myself it would be much easier if I assumed that I wasn't pregnant I keep watching for every little hint and then taking is a positive sign. Sigh.

Glad I'm not alone.

Me too. As I've whinged on other threads, I do it every single month, seemingly forgetting that I had exactly the same symptoms last month, and wasn't pregnant then either.

Get used to it girls! I've been three years ttc, four miscarriages, no babies, and still don't learn.

Just wanted to add, i'm another one who tortures herself with symptom spotting every month.

Teuch · 23/01/2008 10:44

ah yes! That's me...

Today I have 'morning sickness'...of course it has nothing to do with 3 glasses of wine last night .

Yesterday I had crampy uterus...not wind, no no!!

My CP has gone very high...probably just to get away from my checking!!

I have already done 3 or 4 tests far too early...Saturday would be the earliest I reckon.

I have no idea why we do this, but we are all doing it together!!

pinkgirl30 · 11/02/2008 16:33

and me glad that i am not the only one that is obssessed with getting pregnant.
i have only been trying since the 31st of jan, came off of pill 26th of jan.
last sun had awful cramps and diahrea and this weekend the same. i have had on and off lite cramps in the week and mild stitch have also been feeling sick and have headaches.
have just gone out and bought two tesco pregnancy tests know that it is prob far too early to test but decided i would anyway!! doing tonite. prob due 26th of feb.

MrsMattie · 11/02/2008 16:38

You'll never get a BFP that early, pinkgirl30 - don't do it to yourself!

I've been ttc no.2 since June 2007. Had a m/c in Oct 07, started trying again in Dec 08. Nothing yet, but have learned the hard way - don't test too early! I allow myself to test 2 days after my period is due and no earlier. I'd go mad otherwise!

I'm another one. I'm cd25 (regular 28day, though was 25day for a few months ) and I've wasted 2 tests already, yesterday and today. I've been TCCing for about 6 months and every month I build up my hopes only to get a bfn. I've tried ovulation kits and BDing on the marked days then I was told due to the length of time it takes sperm to reach the tube I should be trying 2 days before I ov. It's crazy, I'm crazy Seems all the symptoms are simular to those I get when af due too, sore boobs, cramps...It's enough to drive anyone batty.

I had to leave here a couple months back because I became so obsessed.

You're not alone. Good luck.
