Getting pregnant

Stopped the pill start of July and still no period, mentioned it to my doctor and she said it can take up to 12 months for periods to come back but I can still fall pregnant without a period.
Has this happened to anyone? We are dtd practically every day so should I be testing for pregnancy every fortnight?
I was checking for ovulation using premom sticks, never got a high reading and I was getting obsessed so stopped.

Get yourself a bbt thermometer and start taking your temperature in the mornings

It may still be early days at the moment if you only stopped in July. I personally found that the ovulation sticks don't give accurate results, and depending on which sticks you buy they can be affected by other hormones in your body so the results aren't great!
I found that Flo was the best thing that worked for me! This may be TMI but it calculated my ovulation and high fertility days through tracking discharge and other symptoms as I also didn't have my periods return! The app was pretty spot on and I got pregnant within 5 weeks of me using the app and I was previously using ovulation tests for three months prior to that

I will look to getting a thermometer, thanks.
I havnt really had any discharge either! I have had pains in either side where I think my ovaries are and sometimes it hurts there when I sneeze.
I will also look into that app.

Yes, my sister came off the pill and her period never returned but she got pregnant 2 months later, so totally possible x

That's good to know! Guess il just have to take a test every now and then and start charting my temp.
