Hi all,

Sorry to be a pest, just looking for some opinions. I got this OPK result this morning which is the darkest it’s got, and since then they’ve been much lighter. Would you say this was my peak?

I’ve been testing a few times a day as I can be irregular and DTD regularly regardless and I’m knackered 😂

Has anyone had tests turn lighter so quickly or had a positive with something similar to the attached?

The month I got pregnant with DS I never got one darker than that, I’d DTD anyway. I know the say it’s not positive unless it’s darker than the control, but it does get darker as you get closer to ovulating and it’s the run up days you want to be doing it anyway

Do you use the premom app to check them?

I never get a true positive on OPKs but I know I do ovulate. I've been doing them long enough to know what is positive for me.

I also know I have quick surges and I drink a lot of water so it's hard to get a good hold.

How long have you been doing OPKs? I think you really need to do them a few months to get to see what is normal for you (or hopefully you won't need to).

For me, that test would be dark enough to count as a positive.

Hi both, thanks so much for responding!
I’ve been doing them on and off since December. My last ‘peak’ on the Premom app was at 0.91 and this came up as 0.48 but I think the photo is deceiving.

Will do what we can and 🤞

As far as I know between 11am and 1pm is best, try to stick to that window every day and have drank or not drank the same amount of fluids - it makes it much easier. I've seen darker but it could depend on concentration of urine..sometimes it's handy to have the Clearblue to confirm a peak..

Callie25 · 27/08/2022 00:24

Mine have only ever gone that dark, I think if you only test once a day it could have gone darker later? Or maybe you drank too much?
I take this same situation as the surge for me ☺️

Thanks all, really interesting to hear experiences, I know these tests are different for everyone 😌

@Rowen32 are the clearblue the digital ones? I might try them next cycle!

I’ve tested yesterday and this morning and each test is lighter so going to take that as my peak and see how we go! 🤞✨

Yes, they're expensive but handy to confirm a peak.
The paper ones are tricky sometimes, I've had tests look different testing with the same sample. Hence sticking with the same times/fluid intake to make it easier
