Confusing opk tests

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help. I’ve had very confusing LH results this month and any insights would be great.

I should start by saying I had a chemical pregnancy /loss last month.

So period ended (cd6). Straight away I noticed I was having fertile mucous so started opk testing. Cd10 Clearblue advanced said peak levels (which is unusual because I usually ovulate cd13 but I thought hey ho hormones are out of whack). Dtd that night.

But I noticed my fertile mucous didn’t stop and was getting heavier so I continued opk testing and cd15
peaked again on clearblue advanced and opk tests. Dtd again.

Again fertile mucous still pouring out (sorry for tmi). So continued testing.

Continued peak on opk strips cd16 and cd17. Took another clearblue advanced (as feeling off) and peak again today cd17.

What’s going on? This has never happened before (was trying for 2yrs for DD). Are my hormones just all over the place.

I also took a cheapie pregnancy test and it was bfn.

Thanks for any help.

Sorry for your loss. I'm not sure what could be going on. I assume you don't have signs to indicate a UTI or infection?

I never got on with urine OPK's- despite ovulating. I have a reusable, saliva type. Easier to read and no peeing on expensive sticks. I bought mine in a pharmacy abroad, but you can get them on amazon too.

Really sorry to hear about your loss. I also had an early miscarriage earlier this year and my HCG continued to rise after the bleeding for about three weeks - I’ve read that HCG and LH are very similar hormones and HCG can sometimes be picked up by OPKs. Is it possible that there’s still a little bit of hcg in your system that was throwing off the results? x

no signs of infection. I am peeing a lot but that’s normal for me since having my first baby. Really need to work on my pelvic floor haha

I thought it might be left over hcg but I’ve taking a few pregnancy tests and all negative!

Could it be your body trying to ovulate but not actually? Maybe your hormones are still running a little wild. Only way to confirm ovulation is through a pdg test and/or bbt. Good luck
