Ovulation Test Help

This is our second month TTC and I decided to try to track my ovulation and I don’t seem to be ovulating! I’ve used the OPK tests and don’t seem to be having an LH surge at all? There is always a line but the test line is always fainter than the control line and never seems to get darker to indicate a positive. My periods are regular and everything seems normal so I’m a bit concerned. Are ovulation tests 100% reliable? Could I be doing something wrong? Picture attached for reference from cycle day 11 but this is now day 13 and todays test looked the same.

Have you been taking the tests morning and afternoon? If not, I would start doing that for your next cylce - you might find you missed the peak x

I’ve been taking them before work so about 7:30/8 then again after tea about 6?

How long are your cycles @Nowhereelsetogo90? It may just be you’ve not hit your surgery yet.

my surge is very fast. I can be low one evening then still low in morning but getting darker then peak in the afternoon/evening and back low next day. It can be even quicker for some people!

CD13 is still early for loads of people and if you’ve got a quick surge you could even be positive tomorrow

Hit your SURGE yet not surgery 🤦‍♀️

Hi @Nowhereelsetogo90 replying as I have the same issue! I had a MC in July mind you, but second cycle now and haven't seen a peak on OPK or anything remotely close to it! Interested to read others' experiences.

I got the easy at home ones that go alongside the premom app so you can scan them in on your phone to get a reading and not have to try and squint to decide whether it’s peak or not. I found them a lot easier

Your peak is probably close. Maybe cd14 or cd15. Don't stop testing

Bananabreakfast123 · 23/08/2022 03:20

Second the pre-mom app. As it charts the changes on a graph and measures LH levels, you'll be able to see slight changes and recognise when you might need to test more often as slight increases occur. My surge was quite quick so easily missed one day to the next if I wasn't testing at the right time. I tracked for two months and peaked on CD11 and CD16 so quite a difference. You're maybe just not quite there yet.

Hi, did you peak op? I am in the exact same boat atm! Everywhere I look peoples lines gradually get darker by the day but I'm on CD13 and if anything mine appear fainter? Testing twice a day. Periods are 3 days long, 26 day cycle, like clockwork, so a little worried about this. It's my first month testing!
