Early ovulation

Bit of a random one, but has anyone ever had ovulated SUPER early. I started using my OPKs from the day after my period stopped and had a peak reading on cycle day 6 - however I do have PCOS so know these can’t be totally reliable.

Since then, no peak, I’m on day 18 now so again not totally unusual due to PCOS.

Guess I’m just wondering if I could have peaked that early or if it was just a fluke!

My interest has been peaked (no pun intended) as I’ve had some weird symptoms the past couple of days.

I think it’s quite possible and one reason the rhythm method is so unreliable.
it came up on another thread recently here.

At least I know it’s possible, I’ll keep on testing and see how I go!

@JaneGnR88 I think I had my peak at CD9 this month which is very early, so think it's possible!

Definitely possible. I normally have regular cycles with ovulation on CD14. Last year I had a super long cycle where I ovulated on CD22, and then my next cycle I ovulated CD11, before it went back to my normal cycles of ovulating on CD14.

However, as you have PCOS, it is hard to say whether or not that LH surge was signalling ovulation, hence why doctors don't recommend those with PCOS to use OPKs.

Thanks all, really appreciate the responses! It’s so difficult when your cycles are all over. I normally ovulate very late so this would be surprising.

Still no peak on OPKs so far, randomly did a pregnancy test this morning and got the attached (I know I know, I’m mental)

Going away with work tomorrow and DH is on late/night shifts this week so don’t want to miss my peak! Will drag him to bed before I go 😅

Hi all! I ovulated on day 6 this cycle and was wondering if any of you are still also ovulating early? It’s made me really worried as day 6 (even on a 21 day cycle) seems too soon for an egg to mature … would love to know how you are getting on! Xxx
