Starting a new thread for a bit of hopefulness 🤞

I'm TTC #1 following a MMC in October and another one in June. Both around 10.5-11.5 weeks.

Really hoping this is our month. August conception worked last year, even though it ended a few months later 🥺

I'm CD8 now and tend to ovulate CD15/16 so will be testing or getting my period around 10/11 September.

Who's with me? 💕

Hey there!

I just about fit into the window. I'm 3dpo and my period is due September 1 😬

Fingers crossed for us

@twigsterable ooooh! Not long now! How are you feeling about it? How many months TTC? X

I'd like to join! Im on my 2nd cycle and plan to not heavily track as I was too obsessed last month after getting my AF. A day early.

Will keep you posted and good luck.

I want triplets or twins! Gotta manifest it

Cegbee · 22/08/2022 04:06

I'm CD4, been TTC since Feb and had MMC in March, my cycles are 27 days so will probably be testing very close to 11th sept too... getting more and more despondent though with each BFN. Moral support very needed!

ngnecftn · 22/08/2022 09:03

@Presently83 I'm only my first cycle so it's very early days, but you never know. My genetics seem to be that women get pregnant quickly but struggle to stay pregnant 😩 but I have a tonne of health issues as well which also complicates things.

I'm now 5dpo and don't really feel anything other than normal but it's still early on

bellaolive · 22/08/2022 10:45

Hi ladies, I just about fit into this - AF due 29th! 7DPO today.

My first "proper" cycle following mirena coil removal in July. TTC baby #2. I conceived my first baby in the first cycle following previous coil removal, so I'm hopeful it'll happen that easily again but I'm not really feeling any symptoms yet, then again it's early!

Hoping I can resist testing early as going abroad for a wedding this weekend - although also nervous to drink anything not knowing!

Good luck to us all 😊

Shefliesonherownwings · 22/08/2022 19:04

Hi OP, my dates are almost exactly the same as yours. I’m CD8 today and I’ll probably ovulate around CD13 or 14. My cycles are about 26 days long so AF would get due around 10 September.

This would be baby no 3, and our second rainbow. Our first born was stillborn almost 3 years ago and we have DS also, he’s 21 months. Hi

Presently83 · 23/08/2022 05:50

Hi all!

Great to have everyone here - the last time I joined one of these threads I got a BFP so 🤞

What's everyone's plan around ovulation? OPKs or DTD every/other day?

We usually go with DTD every other day from CD10 until about CD18 on the advice of some doctors, but both times we've been pregnant we've snuck in a few extra days so have probably done it three or four days in a row around ovulation.

It's so hard to know what's best. I'm also really nervous of even trying again or getting a BFP because the miscarriages have been so heart wrenching.

X

@Shefliesonherownwings I am so, so sorry your first baby was stillborn. That must have been unbelievably difficult. I'm so glad you got your rainbow even though he will obviously never replace the one you lost ♥️

@Cegbee I'm sorry for your loss in March. How are you coping emotionally since?

Shefliesonherownwings · 23/08/2022 07:58

Thanks @Presently83. It still is really difficult at times, the fried and pain is still pretty raw. DS has helped a huge amount though, he’s an absolute joy ❤️. I have mixed feeling about getting pregnant, both DH and I want a third but pregnancy is such an anxious time for me because of losing DD so I’m nervous.

I think we’ll start DTD every other day from tomorrow until I get a positive OPK and then maybe every day. I was kick enough to fall
pregnant very quickly with both DD and DS so I can’t really remember how we did it last time lol.

Shefliesonherownwings · 23/08/2022 07:59

*lucky enough not kick enough 🙄

Shefliesonherownwings · 23/08/2022 07:59

*grief not fried!

Lollywhite · 23/08/2022 19:24

Hi everyone

@Presently83 i think I’m the same as you I’m CD11 today!

Ive decided to try and follow smep as best I can this month, we have been DTD every day since CD7 and due to doctors advice have been told because of the variation in my cycle length it might be best to continue this up until CD21

i am (attempting) to take a step back from OPKs this month however I have still found myself taking them and when I do recieve my positive OPK I’m going to DTD for the 3 consecutive days then revert back to every other just to cover my potential cycle length!!

xx

Aimee1995 · 23/08/2022 21:08

Hi all
I am CD17 but have a 35 day cycle so not predicted to ovulate until CD22. We have been DTD every other day from CD7 and I am OPK testing waiting for the peak. This is cycle 3 TTC #1 however cycle 1 we didn't really actively try!

gretathebetter · 23/08/2022 21:18

Hey. I'm CD 18 and due AF on 3rd Sept. We had a loss in June at around 8w.
So sorry to hear of your losses ladies. 😞
Hope it's ok to join! good luck everyone. 💕

Ellbelll · 23/08/2022 21:31

Hey! I’m new to all this and TTC! I’m CD 14 and feeling like ovulation is taking forever! 🥲 my cycles have been all over the place since I had the implant back in 2019 and still are after having it removed in 2020! All I know is that my cycles are over 30 days 😫

here’s to many BFP’s in September 🤞🏻❤️

B93 · 23/08/2022 21:48

Hey 🙂 I hope it’s ok to join…

I am CD8 and usually a 27 day cycle.

Long story…

We have been TTC since March, well I came off my pill in March but we were in the middle of a move whilst renovating our new home. I got a positive pregnancy test in the middle of May, after what I thought was a period and just been run down with the stress of moving. Unfortunately I had a chemical/early miscarriage. HCG levels showing negative since end of June so all happened very quickly.

Until last week I hadn’t had a period. I had been doing ovulation tests daily anyway. I had a strong positive on the 29th July and then strong positives for 6 days in a row from the 2nd August. I had my first period on the 16th August since having a chemical/miscarriage. After speaking with the nurse at our GP surgery she has ordered blood tests on day 21 of my cycle to make sure I am actually ovulating, to be repeated if necessary each cycle. Apparently multiple LH surges on ovulation tests just show your body is trying to ovulate and not necessarily releasing an egg. I have suffered with large ovarian cysts previous so they are being cautious. Also have a history of a ectopic pregnancy and miscarriages.

Basically I am just not a very good woman 🙈

Presently83 · 24/08/2022 12:01

Hi everyone new! Welcome to what I hope is a super lucky thread 🤞

I'm so sorry for everyone's losses here, it's the hardest thing I've ever been through and it doesn't feel like the grief and pain will ever go away, does it? All my friends getting pregnant easily for the second and third time all around me is impossibly painful.

We've decided to go for IVF in October if I'm not pregnant by then because I'm going to be 40 in January so really running out of time to keep having miscarriages every six months 🙄 I'd rather not have to go there through, so hoping these last two cycles come through for us.

We were doing every other day previously, but this time (because my partner's semen analysis SHOT up after he stopped taking this evil evil hair loss medication Finasteride in April, which I'm hoping is what caused the miscarriages) we're going for every day from CD10 to CD18 or so, because let's give it all we've got eh?!

We're staying with his parents in a very old creaky house while we move house, so this is proving interesting....

Also am absolutely not testing until/unless I'm late - last month I tested around 10DPO and it sent me spiralling until I got my period a few days later. This time I'd rather just have the one spiral when AF actually comes.

Presently83 · 24/08/2022 12:06

Oh, I'm also doing the Clearblue ovulation stick test because I want to double check that I actually am ovulating after the second miscarriage. (I have one blocked tube for some reason, which is annoying, because scans have showed I ovulate most from the blocked left side 😭)

CD12 and I'm on day 3 of flashing smiley 😃

B93 · 24/08/2022 16:34

@Presently83 Hopefully this is the cycle for us all 🤞🏼🙏🏻🍀

We agreed that we would give it a year. It has taken us a few years to decide if we are prepared for a second child. Mainly because of all the heart ache and having a difficult pregnancy with DD. However we are not putting our lives on hold… we have recently moved and taken on a bit of project with the new home (more than anticipated), I have just accepted a promotion and even booked a holiday abroad for April. I was convinced after we booked I would conceive but I am yet to be proven 🙈.

I just use ovulation tests I ordered from Amazon. Pack of 30 for about £5-6. Testing daily but will start doing am and pm around CD12.

I need some of your self control I am always tempted to test early. Although I usually have a 27 day cycle it isn’t unusual for me to go up to 32 days. Which is infuriating when hoping for a positive 🤦🏼‍♀️. With all of my pregnancies I have been nauseous almost instantly.

NatGee · 24/08/2022 16:43

@Presently83 oh good luck, i do hope these last two cycles actually come through for you guys baby dust! I am 38 so time is running out for me too and I also use the CB purple kit. One thing about them - they don't actually confirm ovulation, only that your body has prepared for expelling the ovum from the sac. BBT or pdg strips will help you confirm ovulation. Ignore me if that isn't what you meant? :D

tww · 24/08/2022 20:03

Just had fifths with dinner but normally I'm a tiny eater. Is that a thing?

Presently83 · 24/08/2022 20:12

@NatGee no, I know, don't worry - I just really want to check LH rise etc to make sure my cycles are still regular, as I'm pretty sure I do ovulate each month around CD14-16; I've had enough scans to show I do. Though often from the wrong bloody side!

I don't temp because it made me so stressed having to remember to do it before doing anything else, and it not being accurate if you've had a couple of drinks or got up in the night to wee - it was driving me insane. So I just go with 'assuming' I've ovulated and hoping for the best 🙄

Crossing my fingers so hard for all of us this month! 🍀 🤞 🌈

Presently83 · 24/08/2022 20:15

@B93 I totally get that. It's been such a horrible journey this time that around I'm already nervous about what happens if we have one in time to want another and have to go through all this pain again when I'm even older and more likely to miscarry.

I always wanted four children but just never met the right person / was too focused on work until I was bloody 36 - and then he wasn't ready for more kids (he already has one) until I was 38. Bugger. Anyway, we can but hope! (Two sets of twins a year apart?!)

Shefliesonherownwings · 25/08/2022 09:28

Morning all, how is everyone? OP I am 38 too, will be 39 later this year so I feel as if this needs to happen soon if I am going to have a baby before I am 40. I know plenty of people have babies over 40 but my anxiety goes into overdrive when pregnant because of my previous loss that I think being over 40 would add so many extra layers of anxiety.

DH and I DTD yesterday and I got my first CB flashing smiley this morning so we're going to keep up the baby dancing for the next few days. DH is very happy with this plan lol.
