TTC after 1 miscarriage

About to start TTC following my first miscarriage - previously fell pregnant on first cycle of trying and didn't track

Is anyone else in the process too?

Wanting to start tracking ovulation with OPKs but not sure when to start this?

Currently using natural cycle app to track ovulation

Do I count the first day of bleeding from the MC as my period? I know there's mixed responses to this

Any advice/company appreciated!

Hi I think you are on another thread that I’m on!

I fell pregnant on first cycle in Feb 2022 no tracking or anything
I miscarried our twins at 9 weeks in April 😞
First loss, no children yet

We are currently on cycle 3 I’m on CD18 and got my peak yesterday on OPK from Amazon Easy @ Home

Apparently you count the first day of MC bleeding as your first day of cycle. My mum had a loss and conceived 2 weeks after her MC started. I had to wait a couple of months before trying again due to retained tissue and complications

I know some people say it’s best to wait until you’ve had your first normal period as well but think you should just do what you want and feel ready for xx

Hi OP, i'm in exactly the same position as you - had my first miscarriage very recently and looking to try again ASAP. I know it's probably best to wait a couple of months from a physical point of view but I know I'll feel better emotionally if we at least start trying again. Anyway, wishing you lots of luck and hope you see your BFP very soon!

Thanks girls!

Yes I had medical management on 1st July, retained tissue so had surgical last Monday!

I'm not bothered about waiting for next cycle...I was bleeding last week and Dr's unable to tell whether period or delayed mc bleeding?!

Going to start trying now as stopped bleeding...and have grieved and feel ready to try again!

Thanks @Essexgalttc that's what I've put in my app. Should be getting OPK sticks tomorrow!

Fingers crossed for us all xx

Hi sorry to jump on this thread but it's made my ears prick up - I'm just finishing bleeding (I hope) from a MMC and thought I had to wait until my first normal period to try again. Is this not the case? Could I potentially ovulate after the bleeding from this MC, and get pregnant straight away?
I'm keen to just get back on the horse (or DH!) so to speak, although the MC has been a horrible experience at the time I feel I have processed it as you have mentioned previously in your posts.
Sorry for your losses as well everyone.

I'm in a similar position too!

MC on 3rd Aug at 5+4 weeks. After trying for 18 months and on first successful cycle using letrozole to induce ovulation. Bleeding lasted a week and we wanted to start trying again straight away. Currently CD18 and had peak OPK yesterday so hoping it means ovulation today 🤞
I'm also tracking BBT so hopefully that should confirm.

I've just put the first day on my MC bleeding as my first day of this cycle, we're desperate to have a baby so ignored the advice go wait until first proper period 😄

Wishing everyone the best of luck x

Sorry to hear you've had a miscarriage, send you all lots of love. I had one prior to my first child & we didn't wait to start trying again. We counted day 1 of miscarriage as CD1 & fell pregnant from that cycle with my now 5 year old. So you can absolutely ovulate again & very quickly following a miscarriage - mine was early though, around 5 weeks so that may have made it easier for things to go back to normal. I couldn't find any medical reason (according to google 😂) why it was problematic even though we were advised to wait. Good luck 😊

Hello, sorry to hear of everyone's losses. I've been advised to get straight back to TTC following a complete miscarriage at 6+5 on Thursday 18th August but then I have low ovarian reserve and am 37 next month so I don't have time on my side! I'm using CB digital OPKs.

Hey everyone, seems like I’m in a similar boat to lots of you! I fell pregnant first cycle no tracking also, had a mmc that was found at my 8 week scan.
We’re back to TTC now, I’ve had all the signs of ovulation already but that was quite soon after I finished bleeding so not sure if that was just my body getting back to normal!

@justsayso I asked at the epu and they said the advice to wait for your period is for dating reasons, not that you’d be any more likely to have problems in the pregnancy!
