To get pregnant if you only have sex the day before ovulation, not on the day of ovulation itself?

Had sex twice the day before and then not again for 3 days

Sorry if this is a daft question!

Yup

MrsMamaD · 16/08/2022 10:25

Yes it definitely is! Sperm can supposedly live inside you for up to 5 days I think (if I remember correctly)
Hopefully that's the answer you were hoping to hear x

Thankyou!

Yep absolutely only DTD day before and 3 days after and I’m 5+2 weeks pregnant x

J1290 · 16/08/2022 16:41

I saw ewcm in the evening
dtd once the following afternoon
2 more days of ewcm and now pregnant only takes once!

It's actually better to DTD right before ovulation than on the day of ovulation because sperm takes quite a few hours to reach the egg/get ready to inseminate. So if you got it there the day before, it's still nice and fresh but fully ready 😅- so that's when you're statistically more likely to get PG

I'm currently pregnant from day 8 of my cycle which is typically 28 days long so absolutely!

LilacSky95 · 16/08/2022 23:34

Wow, so you got pregnant 6 days before ovulation @Jericha? That's Amazing!

Yes I couldn't believe it @LilacSky95 after TTC "properly" for ages, that month it was just the once so 100% on my dates.

Agree! This is great advice. I was told it takes up to 12 hours for the spent to reach the right spot so it's better to have it up there waiting

LilacSky95 · 17/08/2022 12:09

Thanks so much everyone, was worried I'd be out this month 🤣 it's all so confusing, theres so much stress put on the day of ovulation and opk you panic that you've missed it!

Yep! I didn't DTD too much around ovulation. 20+4 with twins!
