A fertility expert recently told me (in a conversation at a recent dinner party) the best way was to dtd every other day from 10 days before ovulation to 10 days after. That way you are covered.

My cycles are 24 days on average. Pretty regular.

We are trying for number 2, have been for 5 months now. Im 43.

We start DTD from day 8 and this cycle trying every other day so 10, 12,14...
Surely that has me covered!

But 10 days before and after!!! Not possible !
Advice ! Help!!

If you are doing OPKs you shouldn't need to do 10 days after as well

My CM gives mine away dtd until u notice its dried up abit. First baby took ages and seemed i ovulated way later than i realised
just go with CM this time and pregnant first cycle

Well it would have you covered esp if your timings are inconsistent but it doesn't mean that that's the only way to conceive.

Do you know when you're ovulating? Are you def ovulating?

If you're using OPK's could you do from say 4 days before so -4, -2, O, 2+, 4+?

I had a 28 day cycle and conceived on day 6. No harm in starting “early”.

Er, it's possible. Doesn't need to be a marathon hour long session, but it's do able

Hi my June cycle lasted 21 days and July- august cycle lasted 35 days.

After a conversation with my GP today they advised that it has been scientifically proven that your AF comes 14 days after ovulation.

Going by my OPKs last month this doesn’t tally up, they also advised that OPKs are not setting stone and can sometimes pick up any slight change in hormones and show positive but not necessarily correct.. they said that because my cycles range from 21-35 days I need to minus 14 days from each of these which means my ovulation could potentially be anywhere be between CD7- CD21.

They advised the way to cover this is DTD every other day from days CD7-21. really guna step away from the OPKs this month and focus on the above method and hope for the best xx

This is the OPK on cycle day 12...
Strongest line so far...
So next 12/24 hours ovulate??

How in earth do I do that!
