One positive pregnancy test, One negative

Hi all,

I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a negative pregnancy test result a few minutes after a positive one?
I did it to confirm but now I’m less sure. I’m three days late and have been trying for a long time so I would love to hear if anyone’s had this happen.

Was it the same wee?

Same brand of test. I stream tested the first and it was the first wee of the morning. Second was just after I saw the first positive result (I found a container to dip test the second time but because of the type it was difficult to submerge).

So you peed again? Almost immediately? That will explain why it's negative

I’ve had another negative since. I think I’m just going to wait a day or two and try again.

When it’s early you need a long hold (no peeing or consuming liquids) before you do the test. At least 2 hours but I would go at least 3 if possible. That’s why first morning urine is usually good as it’s had a longer hold especially when it’s an early test
