Spotting? What does this mean?

I’m very confused and unsure what this may mean.

We are TTC. My period is not due until next week, but this week sometimes when I wipe it is pink, other times brown, sometimes it’s heavier and there’s more brown, then the next day nothing and the day after back to pink or brown again.

Nothing heavy, all very light.

Considering my period is not due until next week does this mean I may (have been?) pregnant and am early miscarrying? Or that I may be pregnant and something is wrong?

Or could it mean something else entirely? Any help appreciated.

If I took a pregnancy test and I was pregnant, but maybe not anymore, would it still show?

You wouldn’t be having a miscarriage that early @StripesAndSpotsInTheSky. This might be implantation bleeding - a sign of actual pregnancy - or just a weird period start. If it’s implantation bleeding you should be able to get a BFP pretty soon if not already (depending on test sensitivity).

Happens in a about 1/4 of pregnancies so it’s pretty common, I’ve had it around when my period would be due this time.

Also had odd periods that confused me so time / preg test will show - fingers crossed for you x

@stardust00 I took a test and there’s a definite second line on there! It’s not super dark but it’s not really faint either.

I’ll wait until after my period is due and test again.

I've had 2 or 3 times since we've been TTC when I've spotted before my period. No real explanation, just that it seems perfectly normal
