could this be a false positive

I've taken two tests today both came up with a line almost immediately.Im currently on the pill with 3 dc already.

could this be a false positive

Surely you know that's a positive after 3 other kids?!

Must be a shock as you're on the pill 😧

False positives are vanishingly rare, let alone two in a row. It certainly looks positive @fortunately2022

I think you must be one of the 1-3% where the pill hasn't worked (I can't remember the actual stats). Looks like a BFP to me!

I’m guessing you had symptoms if you took a test?

typical use is 91% effective perfect use is 99% effective
I didn't miss a pill

No symptoms but i had a dream a few days ago that i was pushing a wagon full of kids since then i just had a feeling. Its so strange

I always find it crazy that anyone gets the urge to test early when they are on the pill.

It actually makes no sense.

I was on the pill for years and it never once crossed my mind to do a test, let alone an early test, at an early stage.

They are very faint lines, almost identical
to those who test early.

I was just pointing out the obvious.

Defo positive. I got pregnant on the pill too. 2 kids later and we’re no longer just relying on the pill as the main method of contraception!

They are, typical lines that you get when you test early 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am 35 weeks with a pregnancy which happened whilst I was on the pill! unexpected but everything happens for a reason so yes, it does happen. I must have taken 15 various tests before I believed it.

My partner is now booked in for the snip once this baby arrives, I won't be relying on the pill as a sole method going forward.

Hope it's a happy surprise for you :)

I actually agree with you as i can't be more then 5 wks. I only had spotting every now and again so no missed period. Just a feeling really. I've been on the pill my entire sex life apart from ttc so about 14 yrs ive never taken a test before outside ttc

Was there any concern about babies health? Dh already said he's getting the snip last night!!
