Hi everyone, im now considering IVF after 2 miscarriages and 2 years of trying. Im looking for any tips on good IVF clinics in london/hertfordshire that arent extortiante? Also somebody said IVF abroad is much cheaper has anybody been? Any help would be massively appreciated in struggling with the NHS and waitlists and im 37. 🙏🏼

Hello @gemmabrittonuk since January I have done two full cycles of IVF and just about to start a third cycle of stuns next week. First two I did at the lister In Chelsea, however have moved to the Evewell for our third. The Evewell, so far, have been outstanding.
We did all of our initial tests with Create St. Paul's, and NHS Homerton hospital so feel like I've had a decent experience of the good the bad and the very ugly!
I wouldn't recommend the Lister to anyone, sadly. But the Evewell, as I said have been outstanding, incredibly thorough. Sadly IVF doesn't come cheap. Think the best price you will find in London is abc ivf which is a subsidiary or Create, so long as you meet their requirements. Any questions happy to help! I know how daunting it is :)

@KL2222 thank you so much! It really is i was thinking of trying the NHS first but in meantime looking into private options. I had some scans at create already and zita west but ill definitely look into the one you suggested! I just dont know if we could afford 3 rounds at £7/8k each its insane! Somebody also recommended the insurance you can buy or something? X

@gemmabrittonuk there's access fertility and assured fertility that do packages, but you really have to drill down into the detail to see if what they are offering is value for money or not.
We had wanted to do one private and then use our NHS allowance, and are still on the waiting list. However after waiting 13 months to start in July 2022 we were informed that due to staffing issues at the hospital our cycle had been moved to September 2023! After two years TTC i can't put my life on hold anymore thus the three private cycles. More or less all our savings will be gone after this next round so hoping for a good result!
There are plenty of fertility consultants at the various clinics who specialise in miscarriage, if you check their bios on the website, then search for them on here to see what others say!
Do you have any idea of the wait time for your NHS cycle?

@KL2222 dont blame you for not wanting to wait thats crazy! I literally havent even started with the NHS yet so unsure of timings but same as you really 2 years or trying im fed up now want to do ivf as soon as possible especially as im getting older and less eggs! I did the webinar with create today, the natural ivf sounds good and they do a 3 cycle package so might consider that one! Thanks for your advice and help! Good luck with it all pls keep me posted! Xx
