Cycle Day 46, Negative Test

Hello

So my periods are very irregular. I had a period in June lasting 5 days, nothing in July and still nothing now, the last one before that was March. We are TTC and I keep getting negative tests, my doctor is very disinterested in trying to help me.

Any advice?

Hi

Have you recently stopped any contraceptive?

I'm similar- I stopped in April, I've had a 45 day cycle, a 40 and I am currently day 34 with no sign of AF yet.

I can take up to 3 months for your cycles to regulate after stopping contraception but I'm also now starting to think maybe there is more to it, I have been reading more about PCOS and think perhaps that could also be a factor (I was on the pill for 14 years so I can't really remember a time before it, but I do think I was always quite irregular).

One thing I have came across is conceive plus ovulation support capsules which seem to have really good reviews at regulating peoples cycles in similar situations and PCOS so I have ordered some to try! Might be worth looking into?

Hope all works out soon

Sorry I also meant to say to push more with your GP.

Asks for blood tests etc and see if they can see any thorn else underlying- they may be able to help with medication

There's lots you can do while you nag your GP to get his./her finger out: Take fertility vitamins, folate, test for your progesterone to check you're definitely ovulating, test your FSH levels, BBT, track ovulation all these things. What we also did was to get a seminogram once cycle #1 didn't work out. I know it was early but sometimes the issue is not with us ladies so wanted to get that checked out as early as possible as unfortunately age is not on our side (I'm 38 DH is 39) keep us posted and good luck

Hey everyone!

thanks for your replies I appreciate it. I actually had very faint positives. So I’m booked in for a tansvaginal exam tonight. Hoping for the best. TW I had early pregnancy loss in October at 5 weeks. So I’m hoping for the best!

sorry for the late reply. I will keep you all updated xx
