BBT Chart, first month

Hi guys, I decided part way through the month literally a day or two before ovulation to get a thermometer for tracking bbt so I dont really know what I'm doing. I'm 4dpo today is the fact my temperature is going down a sigh of AF? Honestly have no idea if it's even worth tracking it this month or if you can even tell anything from my chart?

That looks fine so far @xttcbabyno1x and although you don't have a cover line because of of when you started temping, your post ov temps still look above where the cover line would be. You'll still get a bit of fluctuation, but as long as they're higher than around 36.4 it's still good and you won't see the pre-AF fall until a couple of days before AF.

@curliegirlie thank you so much for replying ! Hopefully I don't get a pre AF fall at all, but I was just worried as 3dpo and 4dpo had a slight dip! When it falls before AF is it a massive fall, so once it drops below 36.4 I know AF is coming ? X

I know you aren't asking me but it can drop a day or 2 before but mine doesn't drop until after AF.

At 4DPO implantation would not have happened yet so temps would not tell this early if you have been successful or not.

My AF came yesterday and my BBT dropped 2 days before from 36.84 to 36.47 — the day that AF came it dropped again to 36.38 where I had some brown spotting & then full flow later that day.

@NSx thank you!! AF isn't due until next Friday so just wondered why I've had the odd dip yesterday and today xx

36.70 is still high. It might simply be that the weather has been affecting things. Here's my chart from when I conceived DD2....

It's good it's still high looks like you ovulated. Fingers crossed it's your month. This was my chart for this month if you are interested. I tested positive on Wed but I think it's a chemical and I haven't removed since wed

@KatySp do u enter other info on the app except from bbt ? What other data do u use?

Hey 😊 I also tracked bbt for the first time last month - wasn’t a bfp for me but surprised how helpful it was in understanding my cycle, will be continuing to track and 🤞🏻

@NSx I do. I enter CM and ovulation tests. I have PCOS so I've had 2 peak OPKs and EWCM this month which is why the lines are dotted. I also have awful ovulation pains so although the app puts me at 9DPO I'm more like 13DPO based on ovulation pains. I got a positive at 7DPO which looked more like a 10DPO test.
