Hi ladies, I’ve been lurking on this thread this month, ttc baby number 1. Period due on Thursday 25 August, but have been experiencing nausea, vomiting, headache and back pain since yesterday (mostly nausea). Flo app told me this morning I could maybe expect an implantation bleed today. Have just been to loo and am bleeding lightly. Pregnancy tests done so far are negative. Will wait until Thursday to test, but maybe this is it! Anyone else experience similar?!

sounds promising, let us know when you've tested! we love a line eyes/BFP!

mamazac · 23/08/2022 07:23

@BellaTheDarkOverlord sounds uncomfortable! Hopefully it goes away for you xx

Jade57 · 23/08/2022 07:38

@BellaTheDarkOverlord sorry your feeling like that. It might be worth speaking to your doctor
Another faint OPK this morning for me. I'm wondering does alcohol effect the tests? I had a night out on Friday and used FMU for my test on Saturday which was the darkest one I have had although still not what I would say positive. Cycle day 10 today so il continue to test. I tested 3 times yesterday and all the same so I'm not sure if the time of day has any effect

EdinburghGirl1 · 23/08/2022 07:56

@Tartanhaggis oh no I'm so sorry to hear this. How are things this morning? Sending hugs.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord that's rubbish you're feeling like that again this month. Might be worth checking with doctor.

@Spinalonga6 fingers crossed for you that it was implantation bleeding and you get your bfp soon.

@Jade57 I'm really unsure if alcohol affects them. CD10 is still early so just keep texting I'd say

EdinburghGirl1 · 23/08/2022 07:58

7dpo for me today and nothing really to report. Been feeling pretty good, no symptom spotting but then no symptoms. Last month I was so positive and really thought I might get a bfp whereas this month I'm not expecting it so suppose I'm more relaxed

Derinsea12 · 23/08/2022 09:01

@Baby3herewego How are you feeling? Have you done a frer yesterday?

@Tartanhaggis oh no, so sorry to hear that. Is it possible it’s just a light bleeding not AF? As I heard that that’s also possible during pregnancy.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I used to have the same symptoms 2 years ago, it lasted for a couple of months but then disappeared. Maybe it’s just a temporary thing. How long have you been experiencing it?

Baby3herewego · 23/08/2022 09:16

Hey ladies. I couldn’t get a frer yesterday. I went to 6 shops and all they had was clear blue ( wtaf!) so I picked up the one line test as the others had worked for me on 9 and 11dpo.

Took one yesterday ( much lighter that 11dpo’s test ) and have just taken another and considerably lighter again.

Hoping for BFP August/September
mamazac · 23/08/2022 09:26

@Baby3herewego hmm, not necessarily a bad thing! I don't find those tests very reliable in my experience, still very clear lines so I wouldn't worry too much x

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 23/08/2022 09:32

Thanks all x I'd go see GP but from experience with mine they don't really help much and it's hard getting in. They do it over the phone and tell you to ring back in like a year if it hasn't got better šŸ˜‚

@EdinburghGirl1 I'm the same. Not positive so not expecting it this month. You never know x

@Derinsea12 It's been happening for about 3-4 months maybe. I think a month ago it became a UTI with burning after weeing but that stopped after 2 days. This burning when bladder full comes at the same time every month now. It's not really painful just feels a bit uncomfortable. It's like a period pain tbh. I'm 6DPO so can't be period pain. I've had surgery after DD was born due to placenta accreta. I'm worried that maybe scarring from that could be causing something.

Baby3herewego · 23/08/2022 09:41

@mamazac do you think today’s line is clear? I feels like it’s basically not there anymore.

Baby3herewego · 23/08/2022 09:41

@BellaTheDarkOverlord thank you and I will definitely keep you posted with what happens xx

mamazac · 23/08/2022 09:45

@Baby3herewego I would say so, it may be that the other tests look darker because they have dried.

I would do another in an hour tomorrow and see what that one looks like, I wouldn't rule anything out straight away.

Let us know how you get on xx

Baby3herewego · 23/08/2022 10:04

I have photos of them when I first did the others and they were definitely a lot darker and bluer.

Here is 11 dpo when it was first done. So much bluer!

Guess it’s just a waiting game now really.

Hoping for BFP August/September
mamazac · 23/08/2022 10:08

@Baby3herewego yeah unfortunately only time will tell. Good luck, I hope it's darker tomorrow for you xx

EdinburghGirl1 · 23/08/2022 10:16

@Baby3herewego so sorry your going through this. I hope it gets darker for you

Derinsea12 · 23/08/2022 11:26

@Baby3herewego I am so sorry, I hope it gets darker again xx

kizzy97 · 23/08/2022 15:26

@Baby3herewego everything crossed for you, I'm really sorry to see this and hope they start to get darker again xxx

Been a bit MIA this month, just needed to come away as been struggling a bit, going to test tomorrow morning but not really hopeful in the slightest

jalu47 · 23/08/2022 15:53

@BellaTheDarkOverlord sorry to hear of your symptoms. Have you had your urine dipped to see if you have an infection? I have heard that consistent wee infections can really play havoc with TTC... I am conscious of it as I get them a lot - I had a a urosepsis after DS1 and then pancreatitis (from gallstones!) when he was 6 weeks old which really screwed up by bladder and it stopped working for a while, so consequently have a lot of scarring and infections!

Baby3herewego · 23/08/2022 16:38

Thank you everyone! I felt like I had the starting of a UTI last night and just found this ( see screenshot ) anyone heard of this happening before? I didn’t think a UTI would cause a negative test?

Hoping for BFP August/September
BellaTheDarkOverlord · 23/08/2022 16:54

@jalu47 No I haven't been tested for UTI yet. I've had them before a lot so know the symptoms such as pain when weeing, pain after weeing, feeling exhausted, pain near kidneys, constantly needing to wee but only a little comes out, strong smelling cloudy wee. This one has none of those symptoms though, it's only like a pain when bladder is full and eases afterwards. It feels like period pain but I'm only 6DPO. I might ring doctors tomorrow morning and see. Knowing our GP I'll get an appointment sometime in 2025 šŸ˜‚

@Baby3herewego What symptoms are you getting for UTI? I hope that's causing the test to be unreliable them.

@kizzy97 Goodluck fro testing x Sorry you've been having a hard time of it. TTC is a bitch x

@BellaTheDarkOverlord all last night I felt like I had an annoying pressure down there and felt like I had to pee every 10 minutes but only got a few dribbles out each time.

Spinalonga6 · 23/08/2022 17:05

Hi all
Still testing negative which is annoying because I’ve been so symptomatic over the last few days. Still bleeding and symptoms are getting better. Maybe not an implantation bleed after all. I’ll just have to wait it out this week I guess šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

@Baby3herewego I might be misinterpreting that but I read it as a UTI may cause a false positive test
where it says "sometimes the test will fail to measure the hcg reliably, and measures a false positive"
