Has anyone successfully conceived using KY Jelly?

Hello ladies,

I have been seeing things online about how KY jelly is bad for sperm and stuff. I am naturally a little dry down there and defo need some form of lubricant for us to DTD.

I've also seen lots of bad reviews for pre-seed fertility lube. Have any of you used KY jelly and had successful pregnancies? And do you have other recommendations for sperm friendly lube?

Thank you in advance

You should discuss with your GP

I just use Superdrug lube. Conceived 3 times. It might have been Boots for one of them. Not sure weather they are ‘sperm friendly’ but the package doesn’t specify they aren’t 🤷‍♀️

Used pre seed and got pregnant 3 times first attempt.

Why would this need GP input??

Hotenoughtoburnasausage · 31/07/2022 21:10

Conceive Plus worked with me..

MrsWooster · 31/07/2022 21:26

Preseed, twice, fourth month both times.

nameisnotimportant · 31/07/2022 21:28

Yep I did

BritishDesiGirl · 31/07/2022 21:30

Please do not use KY jelly, it kills sperm

SouperNoodle · 01/08/2022 00:12

We used liquid silk and conceived on the first try with both pregnancies. Could have been a complete coincidence but it certainly didn't hinder me getting pregnant.

Houseplantophile · 01/08/2022 00:26

Check out YesVM and their range of products- the VM is vaginal moisturiser but can be used as lube and helps with dryness moving forward. I believe it's also sperm friendly but I can't attest to that!

LilacPoppy · 01/08/2022 00:30

Use pressed or conceive plus, you are killing sperm.

Why would this need GP input??

In guessing the presumption would be that they would have more knowledge of what's best.

my personal research, of lubes, is that they are various different types, I guess Google and chemical research information may help your research.

Hawkins001 · 01/08/2022 00:32

I'm not sure , but has anyone considered normal butter or lard as a lube ?

That just screams 'yeast infection' to me 😅

Goodnewsday · 01/08/2022 00:36

used preseed and I don’t think I used enjoy the the first month but conceived the second!

out of interest those of you who used preseed do you have boys or girls? @MrsWooster @Legomania @20viona

Goodnewsday · 01/08/2022 00:37

*enough that should have said! Not enjoy 😉

20viona · 01/08/2022 06:31

@Goodnewsday girls

PointyMcguire · 01/08/2022 08:33

Pre-seed worked the first month for us.

LilacPoppy · 02/08/2022 23:03

@Goodnewsday I had a boy when we used pressed.

Goodnewsday · 02/08/2022 23:18

@LilacPoppy i had a boy too and had h we’d it maybe swayed blue as I’ve now read a whole lot about the male sperm being faster but dying quicker but could be nonsense if @20viona conceived girls with it

NSx · 03/08/2022 06:49

I used the clear blue lube with my girl and conceived after 2 tries, about to try preseed for the first time as they have it discounted at Boots atm

PointyMcguire · 04/08/2022 07:45

@Goodnewsday @LilacPoppy we’re also expecting a girl.
