Conceiving on a short Cycle

Hey lovelies!

Just looking for some feedback from ladies with a shorter cycle. I'm usually 24/25 days and have been ttc for 8 cycles. There's a lot of conflicting advice on the net about whether or not a shorter cycle effects fertility - some say it does and others say it's not an issue as long as LP is 10 days or longer (which mines appears to be).

Have any of you managed to conceive with a shorter cycle? And if so what day do you usually ovulate? Or has anyone tried to lengthen their cycle and found that it's worked?

Thanks in advance xx

@NiceToChat88 I don’t think conceiving on a short cycle is an issue unless it’s particularly short. Or ie one section of the cycle is an issue.

for example ovulating early like CD8 can sometimes can sometimes be an issue as egg hasn’t matured enough. Or like a short Luteal phase under 10 days.

I have 25/26 day cycles same as yourself. I ovulate CD13 usually. 12/13 day lutueal phase. All normal.

I did used to range more from CD14-17 5 years ago when I was ttc my DD.

but just for reference:

ovulated CD17 - 1st cycle - pregnant but mmc
ovulated CD13 - 7th cycle - my DD who is 4

ovulated CD13 - 11th cycle pregnant - mmc again

now on cycle 4. But I’ve fallen twice ovulating CD13 so if you’re similiar I can’t see it being an issue.
i presume my longer to conceive this time as I’m 5 years older so eggs not as great 🙄 but hopefully still okay 🤞🏼

also sometimes it’s just luck?!

@NiceToChat88 oh just to add when ttc 5 years ago I also had a slightly shorter luteal phase. Used to be more 10/11. Now it’s 12/13. But again. Made no difference to me conceiving twice back then it seems. 😌 hope they helps a little

@Indianna2006 thank you so much for taking the time to reply! That's reassuring to hear... I think sometimes we have this perception that conceiving will happen so quickly and then start to panic when it doesn't, even though it's totally normal for it to sometimes take a while!
