Hi everyone,

So my partner and I have been actively TTC for a while now. My cycle is bang on 26 days and my period is never late. I usually just have mild cramps and mood swings the week before.

My period is due on Saturday 30th July. My mood swings have been worse, I have had..

A banging headache dull all over (I call it a thunder headache as I usually get them when a big storm is coming )

Really nauseous most of the time

Vivid dreams

Really thirsty insisting on milk or evian water only (I know I'm weird)

But above all I'm exhausted - I'll sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow 8- 10 hours and nap all day and still feel sleepy.

Has anyone else had these symptoms before a missed period?

I'm praying I'm pregnant so might just be looking for signs of hope.

As I say I have never missed a period in my life so I'll take a test if it doesn't show. But just wanted to fill the wait with other peoples experiences 🙂

Thanks everyone xx

Awwwh I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

I'm exactly the same with my cycle (26 days) and felt juuuust like this this week, but I think AF started this morning :(( still very light but cramping lots. Disappointed

Hope this is not the case for you! Baby dust coming your way ✨️

Got everything crossed for you.
I don't have a heap of experience (got my first ever BFP today), but as my experience is recent it's fresh in my memory. Although everyone will be different.

A week out from AF I had my usual PMS symptoms. I felt nauseous, my boobs hurt and I felt bloated. These went away and AF didn't arrive CD29 (my average cycle length, but it does vary 28 to 31).
I usually get really moody just prior to AF, where I hate everyone and everything, and looking back this didn't happen. I also usually get banging headaches the day before AF and again, this hasn't happened.
I didn't get any other symptoms at all until yesterday - CD32. I felt nauseous when I woke up and assumed AF was on her way, but she never surfaced. I had a few episodes of feeling dizzy throughout the day, and then last night my nipples started to hurt (and still kill) which just isn't a normal AF symptom (usually my boobs hurt, rather than the nipples).
So when I woke up feeling nauseous and AF still wasn't here I figured now was the time to test.
I am also due to go out for "drinks" so did want to be sure for that reason as well.

So I guess what I'm saying is, if the symptoms are different from normal. If you usually follow a very similar pattern each month, and something is different then it may be.
However, some of these things I didn't notice until after the fact. Like it was only today after testing I realised my mardy days hadn't happened for example.

I'm wishing you loads of baby dust!!! Good luck

Oh yeah and I'm completely and utterly exhausted. Feel like I could sleep forever!

stardust00 · 27/07/2022 17:07

My first preg symptom that I never had as PMS has been overwhelming exhaustion, although only appearing a day or so before period was due. Everything else I had during those symptom spotting months proved to be a red herring Grin Fingees crossed for you x

Great news! Did you have any of the symptoms mentioned?

NatGee · 04/08/2022 21:05

@Moonly well done, congratulations! I am astonished you waited that long to take a pregnancy test haha, a good few days past your due date. I'd have been peeing all over the place. Again, very happy for you :D

As soon as I saw you're tired, I knew you're pregnant. Congratulations xx

Hi everyone, I am currently experiencing an odd symptom and would like some advice, me and my partner are ttc and the last few days I have been getting some pain in my left breast, I am due on in 7 days and around this time I do tend to get some pain but this is totally different, it's quite a deep pain almost like bruising and if I bump it or even lean on it funny it's super painful unlike my usual sensitive breasts. I am trying not to get my hopes up but I have never had this before. Has this ever happened to anyone and it has been you're first symptom? I am just wondering if it could be or if I should getting it checked incase its something else. TIA for any help

Heya - we ttc'd for 9 cycles and symptom spotting was always a miss for me. I only knew I was pregnant when my BBT remained high. every few cycles my symptoms changed and matters were made worse by my constant examining of them. if youre worried it might be something else then by all means get it checked, better safe than sorry. Good luck !
