Hi Ladies,

I am super early on in my fertility journey (booked in for hycosy this Friday and then hoping to start clomid) - I have had 2 periods in the past 12 months and they are assuming it is PCOS with the missing periods & internal scan results (no issues with my hormones).

I have done ovulation tests and never had a faint second line. Today my ovulation test showed this. Now I don't want to get excited as google has said some people have faint lines almost throughout the whole of their cycle?? (if they do is it usually less than 0.22 etc) - but just wanted to know if anyone has been in a similar situation? Don't want to get over excited and think my body is about to naturally ovulate for the first time this year.

What an emotional rollercoster! Any words of wisdom would be wonderful x

Thanks
Lexie

Many women always have a faint second line on OPKs, because there is usually a low level of LH always present. I always had a faint test line (and then much darker line when LH was surfing)

Ovulation is only predicted to occur when the second line is darker than or as dark as the control line. And even then it doesn't confirm ovulation. For that you need BBT or a progesterone test in the luteal phase

Thank you for explaining that to me.
