When to test

So my period is due on the 4th of August, when is the soonest I can test and which test do you recommend? With my other chikdren we weren't trying so there was none of this when should I test stuff.

When I tried last year a Frer (first response early something) was the best one to get as it was a pink line. I got a very very faint line on it though and did a clear blue one with the weeks and it worked too though

That was 12 days past ovulation but I think it’s possible or worth testing from 10 days
