Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice or have been in the same situation. I stopped rigevidon on the 25th june but still haven’t had a proper period only the breakthrough bleed. Is this normal? I’m starting to worry…..

It took 6 months for my period to return when I came off rigevidon and the doctor told me that can be normal, how long were you on it for?

Thanks, I was on it for 12 years but everything I have read online says it should return within 2-4 weeks so I was panicking . I feel very tearful and like I am due on my
period but then nothing happens

I was on it for 10 years, when I came off it I had a breakthrough bleed then nothing for 6 months and it took another couple of months to get back to being consistent. I'd definitely make your GP aware though if it hasn't returned soon, my GP had told me to go back and see him if it hadn't returned by 6 months and they would begin further investigations.

Thanks I will book an appointment just to be on the safe side. I feel a bit paranoid as I do have endometriosis and although I have been told it has been removed and shouldn’t be a problem it is making me worry

When I came of contraception I think it took somewhere between 6-8 months to get my period back. I think anything over 6 months you can contact your gp.
