Positive Test But Too Early?

Just after some input from others as my brain is scrambled. Had a chemical pregnancy last month. This month I got peak OPK on 13th July so presuming I ovulated on 14th. Period due yesterday (24th) but it didn’t arrive. I took a test and there’s definitely a line. It just seems so early to have a positive result and I think the chemical last cycle has made me quite paranoid.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Feel so confused!

I am confused as to why you think it's too early , it's not early at all.

When I had the chemical pregnancy last month I rang my GP and they said that testing at 9 DPO was really early.

For some it is early. For others not.

To be honest, there are a lot of people here on Mumsnet who know more about this stuff than GPs. 😅

If you have a positive test at 9/10dpo then that's what you have. The danger is, of course, that you test early, get a positive and then start bleeding when your period was due. If you hadn't tested early you wouldn't have known you'd had a chemical.

I've had all my positives by 7DPO/8DPO but I get a huge growth in HCG almost immediately anyway. Nothing to worry about really.

sassyx · 25/07/2022 06:54

I got my positive 8dpo, currently 10 weeks pregnant 😁

I got opk 13th July too, tested this morning with a one step from amazon and bfn. I'm 10 dpo today. I read the reviews on amazon and they are all really bad. Now I don't know if I should go and get a frer Confused

Thanks everyone.

I tested early last month as my period was 2 days late. Took another test this morning as AF still not here and the line is still there & a little darker so fingers crossed!

I tested string positive at the earliest date when I was pregnant with my twins. Good luck

Yay! So happy for you. 🥳

NatGee · 04/08/2022 20:09

@Nimbles22 you should have been about 12 days DPO. OneStep has a sensitivity of 10mlu so it would have picked it up if your dates are right i think. FRER's sensitivy is 6.3mlu May i ask how you got on?

NatGee · 04/08/2022 20:10

@Everley huge contratulations!! i love reading success stories :D :D

Everley · 04/08/2022 20:14
