Period or spotting??

I'm on cycle day 32 of a 30day cycle.

Cycle day 31 which was supposed to be my period due date was slight pink cm on tissue followed by occasional brown when wiping after peeing. Cycle day 32 was again brown cm when wiping and some spotting on a light panty liner.

I had sex CD32 in the evening, nothing happened when we tried missionary involving my period but when I got on top of him then got back off he had blood on his penis from me. Thinking my period has now started I went to the bathroom to clean up only to find I'm not bleeding. Went for a pee an hour later and wiped slight brown CM

First of all is this normal? Secondly (my most important question) is this counted as period starting or am I still counting it as spotting 🙈 I just want to start and get it over with

If you have sex around when you a due your period sometimes it can help start your period quicker. I wouldn't worry sound perfectly normal x

It's hard to know. Spotting in early pregnancy is very common (if you think that's possible). And yes sometimes spotting before a period happens too, do you usually get that? Perhaps do a test? I never used to get pre period spotting but do now in my early forties. Prior to that spotting was associated with early pregnancy for me.

And I don't count spotting as a proper period until I need to use a tampon or pad. I don't know how others decide!
